I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

I need to rsvp for the company holiday party. Do I want prime rib, lemon grilled chicken, or grilled portobello mushroom?

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

Prime rib.

At least that's what I want.

Back tattoos of the mother is that you are absolutely right - Ame

I was able to book a flight out to SF for Patty's memorial on the 31st. Her husband's memorial was so much bigger than they expected - he had been a math teacher in SF for yonks and a big activist. Patty's is bound to be even bigger with all the work she did for child care in SF and nationwide. For me, she was a family friend, a fixture in my life, and a big part of my childhood. Such a different perspective.

I'm hoping I can stay at my dad's while I'm out there. I had to add a few extra days to keep the airfare as low as possible.

Ok, enough of the me stuff. sarameg, please stock up on bubble wrap or bring in a pillow to protect your head from all the headdesking.

OK, tommyrot. I just needed to outsource that decision.

this mess was yours / now your mess is mine

I'm on hold with our health insurance company because CVS just called me to tell me they were filling an Rx for me and when they ran the insurance information it said I wasn't covered. That's...odd.

This feels just like being back at my old job, where they routinely forgot to pay the premiums and our coverage was dropped.

When I called Humana, the recording said there was a very high volume of calls, so I'm wondering if this is a glitch on their end, and everyone is calling to find out why they're suddenly not covered.

brillig

First of the year, everyone's plans have changed somehow. After a year and a half of no prescription co-pays, I'm now paying them again. I'm afraid to ask what changed for fear they'll say "What? You missed a year and a half of co-pays? Here's the bill."

My insurance plan was cancelled at the end of the year. (Not my policy--the whole plan). BCBS said they were going to automatically sign me up for a new plan.

I should probably look into that and see what it is.

The Humana lady said both of our policies (Tim's and mine) were terminated November 30. But that can't be right -- we've had doctor appointments and prescriptions filled since then. In fact, in December, Humana approved Tim's physical therapy. So (to state the obvious) something is weird.

At this point I have to punt it to Tim so he can check at work and see what's going on.

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

So (to state the obvious) something is weird.

God, I hate those conversations.

It has to be a Humana glitch. There's no way our coverage ended on November 30, because I just checked my records, and they approved Tim's PT on December 17. They wouldn't approve PT (or anything) for someone who isn't covered. Get it straight, Humana!
