Sorry, Captain. I'm real sorry. I shoulda kept better care of her. Usually she lets me know when something's wrong. Maybe she did, I just wasn't paying attention...

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Ooh, that's a cool idea.

I finally made it to the movies! And saw Spotlight, which was great.

Life moves pretty fast. You don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

Spotlight is one my top five list, for sure.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

That sounds like a good idea, Kat. I guess they have some cats who are used to kids and dogs and whatnot who need a place to stay.

Drawer guides are the worst. The list of things I hate about my kitchen is getting long.

The status is NOT quo.

Spotlight was an amazing movie. I took my journalism students to see it, and we were all blown away. Also angry. Really, really angry.

Happy Birthday, Shrift! May this be your happiest and healthiest year yet.

Laura, which vegan challenge are you doing? I'm so IN.

I remember the crazy days. 500 posts an hour. Nubmer! Natgbsb

Because I am a giant dork I made a spreadsheet of movies from two Oscar prediction lists mapping out what is nominated for what. I did not put on every movie on their lists and I still ended up with 49.

Our wings are not tired.

This one, bonny. [link] I've done it before. Some days like today I eat out, but it is easy enough to work that in. We chose a Japanese buffet tonight to go out with various visiting family and there were many great options. My health situation makes vegan the best choice.

Excellent, Laura.

Neal Barnard is an old acquaintance of mine...we worked in the same circles. I'd never even heard of veganism before I met him...carrying his lunch in a plastic bag on the Metro.

I'm sure he'd give me a hard time that it has taken me so long to come around, but here we are.

I'm pretty excited!

I have restocked my kitchen, and now I don't know what I want to make for dinner tonight. There are too many options!

Happy birthday, shrift! I think you should make something festive. However you'd like to define that. Maybe sprinkles could be involved?
