Could just be a hoax, though. I fake some headaches, everyone gets used to poor helpless Spike. Then one day, no warning, I snap a spine, bend a head back, drain 'em dry. Brilliant.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

In other food news, I just made a leftovers quiche that smells amazing. It has ham and cheese and kale and broccoli and pesto in it.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Oooh, that sounds fantastic. My food plan for the new year is to basically stop grocery shopping, at least for a while. I've got produce and eggs on a regular delivery schedule and so much in my pantry and freezer that needs eating up, it shouldn't even be hard. Making my diet some sort of healthy I will think about later...

Days shrink and grow cold, sunlight through leaves is my song. Winter is long.

Happy Birthday, shrift!

OK, pausing to have lunch, and then I think I need to take out the garbage and recycling while it's not raining.

Cats to become a rabbit should gather immediately now here

Happy Birthday Shrift!

That menu sounds good to me every year, but I need it delivered like blue apron. My grocery store does not have that stuff. It does have a lot of African root vegetables, though, so maybe I should look up how to eat them for New Years. I don't think I will ever be up for the chicken feet (they also have a lot of them) or tripe, though.

How do you all pronounce "sepulcher"? We have a Holy Sepulcher cemetery and everyone thinks Seplacher is correct.

brillig

I think it's sep-le-ker, but I've always wondered myself.

I say it sepulker but I don't know if that's correct

When I used to get my chickens with the heads and feet still attached, I think my chicken stock had a richer flavor. I always meant to try frying the feet but I never got around to it.

OK, one more push and I will be done with the lower cabinets, I think. That will just leave 9 upper cabinets and 8 drawers.

The more I learn, the more I realize how little I know.

How do you all pronounce "sepulcher"?
