The New Year sneaked in while I was being taken by a stealth nap. So I'll wish everybody happy before dawn--it's still Eve, by a stretch of the rules, right?

I'd love to know why I woke up alert at 6 am. Or not. I'd really like to know if I can fall back asleep without borking the day.
Happy New Year! I did convinced TCG to finish up S2 of Fargo last night. We ate lentil soup and leftover pasta and toasted with perry. ltc woke up just before midnight for a feeding. So she rang in the New Year with us, and now I'm up because she's up.
Happy new year!
You guys. If you need some good stuff to start the year with, check out Linda Holmes's list of 50: [link]
Happy New Year morning, y'all! I'm listening to my upstairs neighbor get ready for her annual brunch and getting ready my own self to spend a little time with Amyth's cat while the hoppin' John is cooking. The Moscow mules went over pretty well last night, although I find myself preferring the "wing 55" version that replaces vodka with bourbon. Because I find bourbon tasty in most situations. And hey, I have the ingredients to keep me in mules through the rest of January, so yay!
I gotta say, I'm looking forward to seeing what happens this year way more than the last--being employed makes a huge difference. Let's hope it lasts (the employment and the optimism).
SuziQ, I hope you're feeling better this morning.
Timelies all!
Happy New Year!
Happy New Year!
Watching the live stream of the Mummers Parade in Philly. Love it.
We stayed home, partly because DH was not feeling good, and the dog freaks with all the fireworks. I should open my champagne now and have a mimosa or three.
I hope all the sickos feel better today.
I hope all the sickos feel better today.
Working on it, but not there yet. Maybe a mimosa is exactly what I need -- lots of vitamin C in a mimosa!
Happy New Year!
Calli, I'm so grateful to you and C. and A. for taking such good care of Javier. I miss him and you all, though this has been a wonderful vacation.
I woke up with a raging sore throat, which is a bummer, but since I spent a lot of my Long Island time around toddlers, I'm not that surprised. I just hope I don't pass it on. We're sitting around watching The Great British Baking Show and Terry's making migas, so things are pretty good. I'm not ready to reflect on my year yet, but maybe later today.
Jesse, I'm looking forward to reading the 50 good things.
