Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

Have you seen Skyfall yet? I was not in love with it, but I guess I'm glad I've seen it. But I'd vote first Mockingjay, although I haven't seen it yet. Well, because I haven't seen it yet actually, so now I want to.

I am going to a party, but I'd rather be staying in. Of course, if I was staying in, I'd be mopey that I had no plans. I am contrary like that.

This party does serve beouf bourguignoin after midnight, so there's that.

Because books.

I loved Skyfall, and ever since I saw Spectre I've been dying to see it again. Have not seen Mockingjay, but I also feel like I'm sort of over the movies and would rather reread the books.

There's always Jessica Jones, too.

And none of us deserving the cruelty or the grace -- Leonard Cohen

I've talked Terry and Gabe into watching Attack the Block later, so I'm excited about that. Right now, I'm introducing them to Veronica Mars.

Well in that case I change my recommendation, Amy. Skyfall it is! I haven't heard anyone say that Mockingjay is a must-see.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

I'd like to finish up S2 of Fargo tonight, but I don't think I can talk TCG into 4 episodes in one night. He's not really into mainlining TV shows.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Ugh, poor sickos! I'm just vaguely out of sorts.

And I got the ingredients for Moscow Mules, although that was as much an excuse to indulge my fondness for copper (post-Christmas half off mugs).

Ooh, I need to see if I can find some of those mugs on sale. They would be so cute on my bar cart!

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

I just finished catching up on the Hunger Games movies day before yesterday (I realized on Sunday that I had somehow never seen even the first one), kind of on the theory that I would see the one that's out now while it's still in the theater, but I don't know if that will happen. It could!

Haven't seen Skyfall yet, either, should probably do that at some point.

I dig the copper mugs but I don't so much like the actual drink. It'd be fine if someone handed me one, or it was Moscow Mule night at wherever, but I don't see me making one for myself at home. I'll have to indulge my copper desires with other vessels. Anyway, I think I've seen them for not a whole lot at Cost Plus?

I'll head over to my neighbor's just a bit before midnight, with cookies. And then we'll squelch out into the field (it's a bog right now. Oh, did I mention a cop car got stuck in it? I don't know why) to watch the city fireworks.

And then I'll check Twitter to see how the protests went.

I just watched Kingsman, and now it's time for New Year's Steve, and then bed.
