Gunn: Well, how horrible is this thing? Lorne: I haven't read the Book of Revelations lately, but if I was searching for adjectives, I'd probably start there.

"I remember when they eventually introduced that drug kingpin who murdered people and smuggled drugs inside snakes and I was like 'Finally. A normal person.'” —RahvinDragand

Happy discovery, the new jeans I bought earlier last week turned out to be a size too big, so I got to take one pair back for an exchange. Which was like $7 cheaper than the jeans I originally bought so apparently I've narrowly avoided the cutoff for Big & Tall.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

I am not into today. I slept for around 11 hours last night and it was not enough, which makes me think I am coming down with a cold or something.

Work is, of course, right where I left it on Wednesday, which is to say stupid and annoying - I have to go through all the spreadsheets I had open when Excel crashed before I can do anything else. Yay.

OTOH, a coworker has brought in key lime bars and they are delish.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

I need to get dressed and go to work. Gag me with a spoon.

Grody to the max.

this mess was yours / now your mess is mine

I'm still dealing with the cold I got from my mom, and it's cold and rainy as hell here. Some areas (not ours, fortunately) are having flooding.

Because I'm sick and the weather is too shitty to go anywhere, I agreed to take some work today, doing my first position for the AMA (more proofread-y than editing; kind of a weird combination of both). What the hell, it'll add $$ to my December invoice and remind TPTB that I'm a team player.

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

Today is going to be the slowest day ever. Until tomorrow.

Coding and Sleeping

Today I'm investigating potential home automation issues which is hard to do since I want to fix it, fix it, fix it not just find stuff.

I love it when I get an email from someone I have never had contact with before asking me for information I have given someone else in their organization several times, and when I reply to them I get an OOO bounceback. Such a worthwhile use of my time.

brillig

Work will either be dead because no one's getting work until the first of the year, or it will be hellaciously busy because of all the work they've put off that's due by the end of the year.
