OMG, you would think I had just showered them all with gold.
No one's going there, huh?
I am working until 9pm tonight. Bets on how many people will be at the library at 9pm on December 23?
Aww, I was just down at Findlay Market -- I should have stopped by. I guarantee I wouldn't have peed or masturbated in the library. Because I'm a giver.
Well, if we were going to be going home early the people who came in at 6am should be leaving now and afaict that isn't happening. Rats. Guess I will have cookies for lunch.

Perhaps, though, one shouldn't enquire what she's planning on giving.
planned the meal with mom, talked a bit, then erranded.
TraderJoes - mad house, parking took 4 ever and somehow that led me to buy way more than I needed.
Gift cards for mom and dad to finish out my gift shopping.
Aldi for stuff I didn't get at Trader Joes.
My freezer is packed and I'll need to get to the regular grocery store for mac food at some point soon, but I need to use up some stuff in the freezer first.
Grabbed a quick snack and now I have a wee bit more than hour before I head out to go get Ethiopian food with my manicurist. Probably time to wrap up the gift cards (because I will make it look like gifts even though it is not) and print out the info on the organizations I donated to.
I am going to CVS on my dinner break to buy candy, an eyeliner for my 12 year old (OMG, also if they have cheap black lipstick might buy one because she really wants one!) (note this is for play/fun at home; she is not allowed to wear makeup to school) (the other day she asked me how I would feel about her getting a tattoo) (where was I? Oh, at CVS) and maybe a present for my husband, if they have anything at CVS that he would like.
We got a faux-diversity email from the university: it says "Happy Holidays" and doesn't use the word Christmas at all, but it came two days before Christmas, and has pictures of the university mascot wearing a Santa hat and Christmas sweater, and there are reindeer and ornaments and lights. (I really don't understand the point of these things that have Christmas stuff but don't say Christmas. The people who don't celebrate Christmas know it's still a Christmas thing (and might not even notice that it doesn't use the word), and the War on Christmas people get annoyed that it doesn't use the word "Christmas.")
My SIL has to work tomorrow. BoD and CEO have decreed. It not punishment, it's actually a vote of confidence in her managing a crisis, but it's her son's bday. And Xmas eve, which is normally a holiday at her level.
Thanks for validating my feeling that my job expectations are ridiculous. Sometimes I lose touch with reality.
I find gifts for people in the oddest places. There's a gas station/cafe/shop in eastern VA that was on my route from NJ to my sister's house, and that place supplied most of my gifts one year. Truckstop Christmas.
I remember a mother and daughter buying experimental makeup at Walgreens recently because they had a bunch of stuff on sale for $1.
I am at O'Hare. I got a Torta from Frontera, and now I'm at a bar because my flight doesn't board for another hour. Assuming it leaves on time, which it probably won't.
Donor Choose classroom donation for mom's charitable gift and with that, I AM DONE with gift purchases.
