"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Hmm. What other Christmas song has rum-pa-pum-pum?

Yeah, I think you're out. That may have been a stealth jazz version of LBD, but that's just how insidious it is.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

Yeah, I think you're out. That may have been a stealth jazz version of LBD, but that's just how insidious it is.

Boo! I mean, I will accept the judges' ruling in the spirit of good sportsmanship.

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

I don't claim that my ruling is decisive, but I know a lot of Christmas carols.

brillig

I've been LBD'd four times. It was not FG.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

That's awful, brenda.

OMG, I want a nap so bad. We had team lunch out, and then I did two interviews, and now I have one more meeting, and then I will just have a little rest before choir. I was going to try to get work done this afternoon, but that just seems impossible.

Friends don't let friends read "Atlas Shrugged"

I've been staying out of stores and I listen to news radio, so I haven't been LDB'd ... yet.

I found some "thin mint" tea (by Bigelow). It's ... all right. Smells better than it tastes; the taste is faintly chocolate-y, even more faintly mint-y. Not bad, just not living up to the deliciousness that is the true Thin Mint.

I made it to the office. I returned the loaner SIM cards I was using for international work travel. I submitted an expense report. I scanned a receipt. I'm mostly catching up on my email and backing up files so I can upgrade my OS.

All sorrows can be borne if you put them into a story. Tell me a story.

Aww, also skip the jockey job listings.

I'll let him know.

How did the cats travel? Never had much success with that one myself.

They didn't cooperate getting into the carrier. That took a couple tries. They cried for a bit at the start then they settled down and slept most of the way. My previous cat, Petri, was a great traveler. I'd fold down one of the back seats so he could get to the litter box in the trunk and he could roam the whole car.

My mother is watching Fox News. Help!

Holy cow, look at this job posting. Have you ever seen so much bullshit assembled in one place?

How do you breathe content? Is this a skill you can acquire, or must you be born with specific gills?

I don't know how "bleeding edge" is it to read rss feeds or use a Blackberry these days, but maybe I just don't "Get It."
