Our wings are not tired.

I neglected to take notes for a proper meara, so just be assured that there where cheers and nods and shaking fists at various points.

Ran here to escape the crazy. I made the mistake of clicking on a link to an article about the professor being fired from FAU for being a bat shit crazy Sandy Hook conspiracy advocate. I read the comments. It is so freaking scary out there.

I love Buffistas for many reasons, but your sanity, yes I loves that the most. Thank you. You may not think you are sane at times, but you really really are.

Fandom means never having to say "But where would I wear that?"

Timelies all!

If we're lucky, we'll be able to sneak out to see Star Wars while we're in Florida next weekend.(With my folks babysitting the little guy, of course.)

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

sj, I know it was ages ago that you asked, but my brain just coughed up the memory of where I had heard something about bow ties. Don't know if it's the kind of thing you are looking for but I heard about this on Project Runway, the sponsored a bow tie challenge [link]

In the Heart of the Sea was meh. I don't know what the point of it was supposed to be. But brunch was good and I have lots of leftovers and I got my grocery shopping done in between the restaurant and the movie so I will not run out of food anytime soon AND I think I'm at an acceptable stopping point on the project I've been working on lately so my day as a whole has been quite satisfactory.

"I remember when they eventually introduced that drug kingpin who murdered people and smuggled drugs inside snakes and I was like 'Finally. A normal person.'” —RahvinDragand

Manuscript that was supposed to be to me by Wednesday still hadn't arrived as of closing time today, so the sum total of my productivity today was buying snack treats to go in the Christmas package for the art director/graphic designer duo my company's been partnered with for decades.

I did go out to dinner tonight to my favorite Thai place that merely relocated again rather than closing as I'd feared last weekend. It seems a big bowl of yummy tom yum soup was the key to FINALLY getting both nostrils working at capacity simultaneously.

That's a neat website. Thanks! Now I'm not sure if I should stick with the ones I bought today or return them and order his gift from here.

I got the vacuuming done. I have a packing list (it'll take all of 5 minutes.) gotta hope I have time to run to a bookstore tomorrow.

Still processing my conversation with quasi-supervisor who is retiring. She really has no shits left to give and was pretty frank about some coworkers and our boss. It's actually given me a lot to work with, provided I stay working here. I can...direct some things.

She really, really, really thinks I should be given more authority. Noises she wants me to take over her role in mgmt meetings. I'm *not* the most senior person she could choose.

This spring is gonna be weird.

We met our new nurse who I like. But really, I won't know for a while. She will only be with Grace while we are at school which is a different thing entirely. Should be... interesting?

I remember the crazy days. 500 posts an hour. Nubmer! Natgbsb

I baked. new muffin recipe, Oatmeal with dried cranberries. haven't tried yet. I also cleaned off counters, so if I motivate or power through or whatever, there might be cookie making tomorrow.

It's been as bad as I thought with the child. Lots of slamming doors. Lots of trying to pick a fight. Lots of blaming everyone and complaining about all things me.

and now at 8:30 he comes in to see if he can go spend the night at a friend's house. JFC kid what are you not getting about this?
