Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

Oh dear, Pix, that sounds like a big job! Good luck rooting out all the mold.

Tickets purchased for 9am Star Wars tomorrow for breakfast at the movies. I WILL be wearing pjs. Mac even agreed to go with.

That sounds like an excellent plan. I need to figure out when we are seeing it, but likely next week sometime with my sister and her family. Also making plans for Xmas dinner and dinner on Xmas eve. Our usual Cristmas eve dinner is crab but that's likely out this year given the toxic algae or whatever it is, so I'm thinking pork roast maybe? I can always cook it the next day instead.

Today is my wedding anniversary! Says something -- but not something good -- that I didn't realize it until this morning after I had agreed to let both kids possibly have friends sleepover. It says something else that DH's reaction was so cute when I told him what day it is. Analysis: still think I married the right guy, but we could do a better job of setting aside time to celebrate these kinds of occasions (see also: birthdays).

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

Star Wars is going to have to be a New Years Weekend thing for me, I think. I should maybe see if I can get tickets though.

We have our holiday lunch today, which means good wine and so so food, plus speeches.

That's the pain / That cuts a straight line down through the heart / We call it love

Yikes, Pix! That sounds really awful. Will you be able to (or do you want to) stay in the house while all that's going on?

...Yep, that was definitely yesterday's coffee. Yuck.

Cats to become a rabbit should gather immediately now here

Pix that sounds horrible!

I am irritated that my student worker called in. Mostly because I was going to call in, but my boss is on vacation and I didn't want her to be by herself, but still. She is a freshman and a first generation college student, and I think she hasn't figured out how to deal with being in a university like mine- she is overwhelmed by finals and studying and thought she could work 20 hours a week too, and she really can't. I feel bad, because she needs the money.

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

Pix, how did you figure it out?

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

He was, briefly. I'm not sure Vacation is worth seeing just for him, although I thought the reboot was crass and disgusting, so YMMV.

Yeah, I had no interest in seeing it regardless.

Ooh! I should see Star Wars this weekend! I forgot, and have time.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

I don't even know where a theater with swanky recliners etc. might be found around here! That sounds nice.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

I bet we could find one in SF though, -t. You want I investigate?

I went in to work to do precisely 2 things, did 3, had an off the record convo with retiring in spring quasi supervisor, took new coworker up on offer of his mama's tamales, and then promptly left and went shopping.

I am not the only one embracing my inner asshole.

Tamales were AWESOME. Laundering, nap, cleaning, packing.

Glad you have the right man, Burrell! :) now get your celebrating on! Is Franny old enough to babysit? Plan a nice dinner tomorrow or a movie! Or both!

Sophia, poor kiddo. It can be hard! I know I was not always the best employee in college. So hard to juggle the things.

Gotta get some work done. Don't wanna. But if I buckled down it would probably take like, 90 minutes.
