The status is NOT quo.

Kat, they have to tear out the entire middle of our house and install a new bathroom. We will get official lab results tomorrow or Monday, but it's at least four kinds of mold, most likely at least one toxic variety.

Yay new bathroom at least? Um

Poor Franny--I have medication for migraines that dissolves on my tongue, because there are times when even if my tummy wouldn't actively reject it, the idea of eating anything or swallowing anything is just anathema.

I made molasses cookies. But I would love if msbelle came over and made cookies with me. There should totally be a word for that (I figured it was just "lonesome extrovert")

"I keep to a strict diet of ill-advised enthusiasm and heartfelt regret." Leigh Bardugo

Pix, so what happens to you in the interim? I mean, while construction happens?

We have zero cookies in the house which is okay. But I'm not feeling the excitement for the holidays without MOAR SUGAR and BUTTR!

Last day of school for the calendar year. I'm still up and headed to the gym. Someone put cement in my sinuses. It's taking all of my will to go.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Oh, wow, Pix, that sounds enormous! I'm sorry you have to deal with that.

Today is Operation's annual Brunch and a Movie day. Guess what we're seeing. That's right, Heart of the Sea. Anyway, the movie doesn't end until after I usually go home so I might go in late because getting out of bed is haaaaard.

Ann, that's a ferret.

sarameg, I hope your jury duty goes well, for whatever value of "well" you prefer.

Kat, marriage may bollocks up your taxes, but it depends on your situation. It worked well for Hubs and me. I have the larger income (especially now that he's retired), and he has lots of medical expenses. Which means we can use more deductions.

Looking forward to next week, I think. Office lunch means long lunch on Monday, and at least it's good food with only forced socialization and not forced merriment. Half-day Thursday and a holiday Friday. And I can't work late on Tuesday because I have my regular therapist appointment. On the other hand, I have an assignment that a Someone wants done by the end of the year -- and two other Someones want delayed until a different matter is resolved.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Getting married is going to bollocks up my taxes this year, isn't it?

I don't think I knew you got married!!!

Yikes, sorry!

Hee. I do have to see that, though, just to maintain my Hemsworth creds. Pretty sure my cousin and I were the only people who saw Rush.

So last night I was achy and not-actually-feverish, but hot and cold in a weird way. I think I was really sweaty in the night, and now I do feel better! So maybe it was a slight fever after all? Anyway, now I'm just sleepy. And still angry with my job, but not nearly as angry as sara!!

Every time the commercial comes on, I say "Not even for Thor will I see that."

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

So I see I'm already not a completist (missed Blackhat, Red Dawn, and Vacation), so can probably let this one go.

Goodness! That sounds like a lot of stress, but not exactly something you can ignore. Good luck with getting it done quickly and as smoothly as possible.

Because books.

Wait, Chris Hemsworth was in Vaction?

Yikes, Pix. That's a huge, sort of scary pain in the ass. House~ma!
