I battle evil. But I don't really win. The bad keeps coming back and getting stronger. Like that kid in the story, the boy that stuck his finger in the duck.

Connie, this is typically the week I would come out to Salt Lake for work, but we had decided a while back that this month we would do the updates over the phone. My PM told me about how much snow you got yesterday and said he was glad I wasn't traveling this week.

Suzi, that was very wise. It's ten times worse in the Salt Lake Valley than it is in my valley just to the south. It took my housemate two and a half hours to get home last night, and it's normally 45 minutes.

ION, a lot of my co-workers apparently had a multi-player game of something last night, because they're all going "And then that tank came over the ridge, and I was like, crap! I'm out of ammo!" and "I know, dude, it was hysterical! Did you see Tim stuck behind that tree?" "I know, dude!" I kind of love my geek co-workers. At the end of the day, when things are very slow, we'll get into political discussions, and the ones that are conservative have brains. Though the guy with the Family Guy imitations can stop any time now.

Is that--it is! It's a patch of blue sky! And there are actual shadows on the ground! Huzzah!

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Ugh, I forgot to pay my car insurance. Fortunately, my insurance agent calls me to tell me i need to pay rather than just cancelling my insurance, but that's a major adulting fail right there.

I hope I paid my registration but I don't think I can check easily while I'm at work. Gah.

Oops, -t. I forgot to cancel a recurring order--I had moved it as far out as possible, got their "it will ship in 4 days if you don't change/cancel", and....didn't do anything. It's a bunch of stuff I may eventually use but really didn't need and is like $200 worth. Got the "it shipped!" email today. Argh.

Oh, I did that, too! Caught one but not the other one - actually didn't even know about it until the stuff showed up on my porch yesterday, that's how not on top of things I am.

Well, the good news is I can check my registration online. The bad news is of course I didn't pay it, so late fee, and I need a smog check. Sigh.

I guess the other good news is that my car is old and not worth much money so the registration and insurance bills are both relatively low, so they can just both go on a credit card today. But I didn't really need another reminder of how much I suck right now.

I look more rad than Lutheranism

Test-driving cars after work. Nervous with this level of adulting. (Well, not nervous about test-driving cars; just nervous about writing a giant check for a car. Yikes!)

Good luck, Teppy!

Enjoy test-driving! You have done the hard part of writing the giant check - saving up to have the funds to pay.
