And I wonder, what possible catastrophe came crashing down from heaven and brought this dashing stranger to tears?

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

We usually arrive on time to pick up our kids but stay and chat and forget to leave. oops.

Good Trouble and Righteous Fights

I did enjoy being at Messiah sing-alongs and surprising people. I was a first soprano. Ah, youth.

I'm probably going to a Messiah sing-along tomorrow. I love singing Handel because his alto lines are so good. I enjoy singing harmony, but not when it means being a human bagpipe drone stuck on D or E for half the song. Tenors and basses get to use their whole ranges a lot more often than we do for some reason.

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

Because altos are so dependable.

All sorrows can be borne if you put them into a story. Tell me a story.

What is our publicity department doing? [link]

At least now I know what I kept interrupting (my office door is in some of the shots) while trying to do my job.

Sigh. That's us. The Hufflepuffs of the choral world.

Cats to become a rabbit should gather immediately now here

I always wanted to be an alto, but I was stuck as a first soprano who couldn't hit the high notes. When I auditioned for choir in college I sang really low and became an alto two. In some weird quirk of fate we became the tenors, and I couldn't sing a bunch of it because it went to low.

not your mom's socks.

Got to hang out with the gas folks until 11pm last night because our house carbon monoxide alarm went off before dinner. The culprit: our hot water heater. So that was fun. Everyone's fine. Any tips on "water heater, how do?" Are welcome.

"You can't put a price on the joy of not giving a shit." -Zenkitty

Y'all, jetlag is unfun. I'm exhausted and not even four cups of Irish breakfast tea made a dent in my headache, plus it's cold and rainy outside and I'm feeling a bit delicate. That said, I don't want to stay indoors all day. I think I'll walk over to 3fe which I think Sue suggested and get some real coffee and stew.

Provided that goes well, perhaps I'll take a walk to Trinity College and go from there.

I must obey the inscrutable exhortations of my soul—Calvin and Hobbs

I remember singing alto in my church choir years ago. We called ourselves "the altoids--curiously strange" and were the largest section of the choir. We got use to singing softly.

Fandom means never having to say "But where would I wear that?"

Timelies all!

We're having a birthday party for Gary this afternoon.(his birthday was Thursday)

Brought my phone to the store yesterday, where they couldn't resurrect it. Got an upgrade, which I'm getting used to. Unfortunately, because the old phone was dead, none of my contacts could be transfered.
