Riley: Oh, yeah. Sorry 'bout last time. Heard I missed out on some fun. Xander: Oh yeah, fun was had. Also frolic, merriment and near-death hijinks.

All sorrows can be borne if you put them into a story. Tell me a story.

Not a thing exactly, just 10 yo boy acting his age. Writing down snarky, slightly off color answers in his workbook and snickering to himself.

I still have to work to filter my own snarky, slightly off comments, so I feel for him.

Congrats, Nanita. Recovery~ma for Amyth. And Zen, whatever kind of ~ma you need. Let us know if we can do anything.

I like Bernie Sanders like I like my dad like people. But there's a part of me screaming ' but you just don't get it' just like with dad like people. Generation and situation gap.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

I really hate that we've lost ita, and have now lost Ginger. Don't get me wrong, these ladies are completely different, except how they both fill unique roles.

I understand that completely.

oh joy! Oh Rapture ! I have a brain!

love to all

hope things improve rapidly Sparky

all the ma~~~ you need Zen

Glad to here good news, Nanita

My day was slightly off. My brain would work - then stop. I would think of something I needed to do and instantly forget it.

I randomly told people about Ginger. Turns out she fits int a lot of conversations

And towards the end of the day - there was ginger candy on the counter .

Good Trouble and Righteous Fights

But if they'd been chewy ones I probably would've eaten like, six.

Have you had the ones from Fran's here in Seattle? Because they are the chocolate-covered caramels to which all others must aspire, IMHO. And Fran's in general is the only American chocolate I've ever had that could hold its head up alongside what we got in Belgium last summer. Heavenly stuff.

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

Hmm, I'll have to try Fran's caramels next time I'm in Seattle. Chocolate covered caramels are my favorite, and in general Sees dark chocolates are my favoritest of all. I fully admit there's a childhood attachment there, but they are very good nonetheless.

Ooo, I should go to Sees tomorrow and buy chocolates! To bring to the office staff when I go in on Thursday.

"And that's why God Almighty gave us fire insurance and the public defender".

Congrats, Nanita, and speedy recovery to amyth. Sparky, congrats for the employments news, and I'm sorry for the emergencies.

All the ~mas, Zen. All the ~mas.

Apologies if I missed anyone else - I think that everything that happened made me miss some things.

It's morning where I am and I'm at work, 'istas, but I'm here for you and reading if it helps you to post and to know that someone is reading in real time.

Much, much love.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

OK. I am awake, my socks are pulled up. Going to work today. be a productive member of society.

They are sloth socks, which are maybe not the best for the metaphor, but they are objectively pretty great socks.

Coding and Sleeping

Lowe's Iris system lets you track what Santa does in your house.

I didn't work on the Santa tracking stuff specifically, but my code is all over the place on the cloud infrastructure supporting it.
