You do well to flee, townspeople! I will pillage your lands and dwellings! I will burn your crops and make merry sport with your more attractive daughters! Ha ha ha! Mark my words! Ooh! Ale! I smell delicious ale!

Librarian Warlord

Yesterday there was a real incident that triggered it. A maintence worker was approached and threatened by someone who was armed. An officer I have worked with on things told me the guy was so terrified he couldn't speak English, and was a mess.

I might know more about tonight tomorrow. The DC police are opening up streets again, so I hope an all clear is coming soon.

Days shrink and grow cold, sunlight through leaves is my song. Winter is long.

Yikes, Sparky. I hope all's well, and all are safe.

Nanita, well done you!

Amyth, all good healing vibes and better-soons.

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

That's scary, Sparky. I hope everyone is safe.

Congrats, Nanita, you deserve all the recognition.

My son is now at the age where he is deliberately doing his homework badly because it makes him laugh. Ugh, I will not be happy about this new development come middle school, but I'm trying not to overreact.

Danger is my middle name, only I spell it R. u. t. h. - Tina Belcher.

Oy, what a world.

Peace to all.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Yikes, Sparky. Stay safe.

Yeah, world is making me tired. So I baked more cookies. Y bound. Glad you are safe, Sparky.

Whaaat? That's a thing? Very weird.

I am sadly disappointed in the caramels I bought (at Teppy's instigation!) which were more liquidy caramello than chewy. But I also bought a bottle of spiced cider (alcoholic) and it is delicious. Possibly dangerous that it's 22 ounces and not yet 7pm. Um. I've drunk about half of it. This may be a bad plan.

Punishingly Intricate

That's great news, Nanita!

And, that's scary, Sparky. Poor maintenance worker.

Congratulations and also of course they promoted you, Nanita!

I got up early enough to take advantage of the coffee service I asked for... that I hope was my coffee service and not someone else's staying in the same corporate apartment as me, but you snooze, you lose.

If I lived closer, I would come to your rescue and take them off your hands. I am fond of chocolate-covered caramel no matter whether it's chewy or more Caramello-like.
