Simon: Captain... why did you come back for us? Mal: You're on my crew. Simon: Yeah, but you don't even like me. Why'd you come back? Mal: You're on my crew. Why we still talking about this?

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

Well Chile is Walter's favorite girl doggie. ;-)

Charlie did not comport himself well. It might be worth trying again, but it might be worse.

Cats to become a rabbit should gather immediately now here

Does anyone here remember the yarn we used to make Joss's baby sweater/blanket/hat? I made my BFF mittens out of the leftover and one has been lost, and I want to make her new ones for Christmas, and the yarn was perfect. I have some weird recollection that it was Mission Falls 1824 Superwash?

I think Theo said she might be up for taking Mr. Peabody earlier in the thread.

Love is stronger than death and harder than sorrow. Those who practice it are fierce like the light of stars traveling eons to pierce the night.

Nanita, thinking of your generousity gives me strength.

Shir, thank you for this: ”each and everyone is a small light/together we are strong light”. I needed that, as you can see. A quick Google did not bring me a name for this song, so perhaps when you have had some sleep, if you get a chance you can tell me how better to credit it in my tagline.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

We probably should give them another chance to get to know each other on neutral ground. Point Isabel or some such.

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

So let us hope first that someone he knows who knows him will be taking him in so they can grieve together.

That is my hope too.

I'm glad to hear your good news, Sparky. I hope they come through for the others as well.

I'm sorry to hear of your sister in law, Fred.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

I think Theo said she might be up for taking Mr. Peabody earlier in the thread.

She did, and with Nanita's offer that might be more viable for her circumstances.

I must obey the inscrutable exhortations of my soul—Calvin and Hobbs

I hope they figure out what's going on with your SiL, Fred, and can fix it.

I was lucky to meet Ginger not long after joining the board, when a conference took me to Atlanta. She was very kind to a shy stranger. It's good to see plans for Mr. Peabody developing.

Our wings are not tired.

I missed Theo saying that! Theo, could you take him if I can take care of the financial aspects of his care? ETA: Also messaged Theo on FB.

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

We would probably not be the absolute best home for Mr. Peabody, but I would take him before I'd let him go anywhere that wasn't good for him.

The lost sheep grow teeth, forsake their lambs, and lie with the lions.

I'm so glad to hear that there are people here who can help make sure Mr. Peabody is going to be well cared for. I've been worrying about that all day, so it was good to read all of these posts.

I feel so sad for the little guy - there's no way to make him understand what's going on and why everything is changing.
