You never know if a girl's gonna say 'yes', or if she's gonna laugh in your face and pull out your still-beating heart and crush it into the ground with her heel.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

I feel you, Laura. I like shopping at Costco better than shopping at Walmart, but yeah. Otoh, I feel like one big shop at Costco means more time before I have to go shopping at all, so maybe that's worth it? But I don't have a membership right now. One of the things I need to figure out as I get my household supply chain in order. It's pretty inefficient now, I suspect, definitely in need of review.

Reasonable, Lee. If you include the time driving into work and back, and the time making yourself get ready to leave, working at home might be the best use of your time anyhow.

I remember the crazy days. 500 posts an hour. Nubmer! Natgbsb

I did get up. Showered, breakfasted on waffles, turkey bacon and an apple with cinnamon dip. Coffeed. Cleaned litter, dishes and 1 load laundry. Filled the dishwasher and have it going and mopped half the kitchen.

We need to leave in 20 min for the 5k and Mac was asleep. I woke him up and stood there for several minutes as he kept rolling over and going back to sleep only for me to tell hm each time he needed to get up. I suspect he will be asleep again if I go back there now. He was asleep before 12 last night and not up early this morning, so no reason. Asshole.

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

I let my Costco membership lapse too. I find I miss it around this time of year, but I can never decide if it's worth it to renew it. I think I should if only so I can use them for the optometrist.

Many hugs, Rebecca, and I hope the day picks up with the 5K. I feel like exercise really helps me when I'm down. I've been getting a lot more exercise lately and I can feel my depression lifting.

no one is willing to decide if we are doing no presents, presents for the youngest generation, or presents for all.

Argh. I hate that kind of indecision. Which reminds me, I should start shopping for gifts soon or I'll be screwed.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

I like Costco a lot more now that it is within walking distance. I don't have to deal with the parking, I get a minute amount of exercise, and I have to be selective about what I buy.

Back tattoos of the mother is that you are absolutely right - Ame

I have a Costco just a few blocks away but have let my membership lapse. I want to renew, but I just haven't taken that leap yet.

K-Bug and I cleaned house and then went out to check out the newly remodeled mall a few blocks in the other direction. It is much nicer but still, mall. They have been highly advertising their "maker's hall" with hand craft items. We checked it out and pretty much NOTHING sparked out interest. I found one item for my secret santa giftee.

Now I'm home and she is off with her new boy. I have cards to address, candy to make, more cleaning to do, and not sure how much will actually happen.

I have done nothing today so far. Meeting mom to check out the Christmas Fair and watch the boat parade at the waterfront in a couple of hours, may not do anything until then.

I let my costco membership lapse--I just don't need big bulk amounts of stuff. The only thing I really liked was the gas, but it's not super convenient for me.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

I like Costco but I use it more to buy bug things cheaper. I don't buy in bulk. I'm thinking about getting a Christmas tree from there. I've never had a Christmas tree of my own. I'm really depressed this year, and maybe doing something totally different and just for myself would help.

My sister just called to tell me they've decided we're just doing a few small gifts this year and we're going to do fun things instead. I agreed. We make this same resolution every year, and yet the tree is always full of gifts and no one wants to go do "activities" together. I'm doing what I always do.

I'm ready for the end of this month and this year.

"Big" things. Not bug things. Fuck.

Days shrink and grow cold, sunlight through leaves is my song. Winter is long.

Bugfuck.

Sorry, association.

I've been reasonably accomplished today: cleaned the bathroom, changed sheets on the bed, put used sheets in the laundry, and put away folded clean laundry. I need to cull and load things into the two bottom shelves of the curio, the back wall of which I recently covered in giftwrap--pale grey eggshell finish, overlapping matte white circles that make cloverleafs, each juncture tagged with a mirror-silver dot. I call it the Venn diagram paper. It does brighten the interior of the cabinet and provide subtle texture. I just have to get the last two shelves arranged and dispose of the leftovers.

Oh. And handwash, which ordinarily I don't mind, but I'm avoiding due to clorox fumes being wafted through the house by the forced air heat. ...Much the way I don't vacuum because the cat is sleeping.
