It's only 7:19 and I'm already running late. Also, Jetta nearly got lost this morning: my sister opened the porch door before I had her collar on, and the dog scooted out into the dark street and across the road in front of a garbage truck, and did NOT come back when called. And it's dark and she's black, and that was bad.
Happily, she decided what she wanted was to investigate her own front yard, so she came back around and I managed to wave enough string cheese at her to get her collar on. YIKES.
and now it's off for another day of incredibly dull on-line training that I must finish by the end of the calendar year...

And also, I don't know if I said here, but my boss is turning out to be a total loose cannon and is about to completely restructure our department, again and who the hell knows what's going on because she only feeds out info in dribs and drabs. But a new role has been more or less offered to me (literally when I got on a plane last night and happened to be seated next to someone else from my company).
Even though I feel a little like I'm being pushed out of my current role for reasons that mostly come down to my boss not understanding what the hell it is I do, I'm inclined to jump on this almost sight unseen just to get out of her wildly unstable orbit.

Glad to hear Jetta came right back. That's the problem with new pets IME, for the first few months they want to go exploring outside all on their own, and I want them to wait for me to take them outside. But you know, pets, so it all works out.
