Yes, it's terribly simple. The good guys are always stalwart and true, the bad guys are easily distinguished by their pointy horns or black hats, and, uh, we always defeat them and save the day. No one ever dies, and everybody lives happily ever after.

It's a lower circle of hell walking into stores this time of year, and not just because of LBD. So many horrible versions of these songs.

this mess was yours / now your mess is mine

I lost the LDB game *last* year to a weird-ass calypso version in the mall. Not a bad way to lose. At least it was different.

I am happy to report that today I have not dealt with either public masturbation at my workplace or my child typing obscenities into powerpoint presentations at school!

Also, I ate Graeter's ice cream for "lunch."

Woo, flea!

We had pizza and cake for a going-away lunch. So full of food. And I have my cake for later, because I had that donut before, so. Gonna miss the guy who is leaving, he is a real sweetheart and easy to work with.

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

My in-laws put Christmas music on during lunch Friday. I lost by the second song.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I am happy to report that today I have not dealt with either public masturbation at my workplace or my child typing obscenities into powerpoint presentations at school!

A banner day!

I'm pretty sure I won the LDB game last weekend because I really like that song!

Wow, they are exhibiting the Shah's collection of western art in Tehran: [link]

Ugh. Another mass shooting. This one is in San Bernardino.

That art exhibit sounds amazing. How cool.

I just don't have it in me to react to another shooting. It's awful, that's all I've got.

Life moves pretty fast. You don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

msbelle, I don't remember, does mac have a physical outlet for his anger? Karate helped one of my nephews--and my EXTREMELY tightly-wound brother was helped a lot by hockey. A LOT.

"You can't put a price on the joy of not giving a shit." -Zenkitty

My family has been expressing concern about my upcoming travels because of recent terrorist attacks in Paris and Brussels.

On the way to the airport, we drove past a farm with semi trailers parked in a field with slogans blaming Obama for the national debt and condemning Planned Parenthood for harvesting baby parts.

I did not bring up the fact that I'm more likely to be shot here in the good ol' USA by the white dudes who parked those trailers.
