he asked "are you working"
Ha! I'd be amused. Then again, on the Monday after a holiday weekend I'd be grateful for any distraction other than work issues. Firewalls down, flooding in one office, this and that server down. Not my issues, but they always seem to call my office first. Sigh. Ready for a nap.
My work email is not flooded with anything, just usual Monday stuff - have not looked at personal...
I literally cannot face my email this morning because of the explosion of Cyber Monday emails.
Yes. And it makes me crazy because then I feel pressured to buy stuff and figure out what I need to purchase for people and do it NOW NOW NOW before I miss the best price, but I don't KNOW what I need to get for people so I just feel stressed...
There's been a Major Database Fiasco at our biggest client's office. Not the thing I need when I'm sleepy on a Monday morning.
On the plus side, the day is going by fast.
Sounds like SOMEone has a case of the Mondays!
I should not have bought in bulk.
Prices will keep going down, meara, retailers are not doing great this year. Is my almost completely uninformed opinion, but it's a comforting one in terms of shopping pressure (less comforting in terms of my company making it's revenue target, but oh well!)
I guess my pumpkin tea cosy is out of season. I should do something about that.
BTW, I decided to skip my morning cup of coffee, have my pot of tea, and get decaf with my lunch just in case. So that problem is solved. Maybe I'll mail my niece's gift tomorrow, her birthday isn't until Sunday...

Same, even though I know that's just what they want you to think!
Plus, most places even if they don't still have 50% off or whatever will still have 40% off later, or something. So that few bucks won't kill me. But it does remind me that I still have no idea what to get for people, and last year had drama even with Amazon prime getting me stuff in time so...
ION, I did a team-building activity in my staff meeting, and I think it worked! Too bad one person wasn't there....
Yay effective team-building. Y'all will just have to shun the one person, then.
Starbucks no longer has the holiday panini I had my heart set on, woes. I will just have to make stuffing myself at some point, I guess. Having turkey pesto as consolation. My flat white made with heavy cream instead of whole milk, though, is da bomb.
Unrelated to anything here - I wish people would just acknowledge that they did something that wasn't what they said they'd do. I always do, because it bugs me so much when other people don't, and it really hasn't caused me any trouble. That I know of.
