News this morning is that Cyclone Ita may be upgraded to a 5.
Natter 72: We Were Unprepared for This
Off-topic discussion. Wanna talk about corsets, duct tape, or physics? This is the place. Detailed discussion of any current-season TV must be whitefonted.

Yeah, just read the roof was torn off the James Cook museum: [link]
I just can't imagine what it is doing to the grounds, much less the building.
So I'm not going to my uncle's funeral. (Thanks to folks here I don't feel guilty in blowing it off, so thanks!)
I'm still going to Clintonville to the Easter brunch at my parents' retirement home. And I just discovered I left my phone at home. I can do without it but it makes me a little nervous taking a trip without it.
I got my first cellphone about 11 years ago and now it seems so weird not having it with me for a day and a half.
The cyclone joke I made in my status report (daily, because I'm a grownup) looks wildly tasteless now. Well, it was probably tasteless then too.
This week has been weak for me. One day left, and I need to go into the office (see above for perception in workplace), but I still feel predictably awful two weeks after the procedure.
I have a tumblr question--do you know of a way to grab all the notes on a post? My pic has doubled my previous high (turns out my money isn't in shipping...), but I can only work out how to read them using XKit, but parsing the HTML for them is killer.
(This will function both as feedback and salve for the days where drawing makes me want to cry (I can see how to fix it! Dean has the wrong weapon!)--what's that back-pat folder called?)
Success implanting lab-grown vaginal organs in women.
I wonder what this can mean for trans* bottom surgery. Amazing what it meant for those girls.

Tech Time Warp of the Week: Watch Steve Ballmer’s Achingly Awkward Dr. Evil Parody
This is kinda' painful to watch. But at least it's short.
Steve Balmer as Dr. Evil and Bill Gates as Austin Powers. No, really. It was produced for an internal company meeting back in the late '90s or early 00's.
That's amazing, ita, about the lab-grown organs. I don't know how it would work for bottom surgery as for that it would necessarily be someone else's cells, and therefore prone to all the complications of transplant surgery. But amazing nonetheless.
