My undergrad psych prof devoted a whole lecture to Why This Class is Not Graded on a Curve (engineering classes generally were, because averages of 35 were not uncommon).
We had that in chem classes too, which just annoyed me. What's the point?? Either the whole class is not learning what you expect (and you should go back and re-teach it) or you're writing the rest ridiculously out of step with what's been taught. Either way it's a failure.
There is not near enough natter in here to distract me from work. People, at this rate, I will have to do expense reports all day. NO ONE WANTS THAT.

Sorry, I was hanging out on a different board asking a question about tripod screw lengths.
Well, if
you
know what to do about most tripod screws being 1/32" too long for my Sony NEX-5T camera, let me know.
I'm shocked. Shocked, I tell you.
I'll make up for it by posting during my trip to Walgreens to get antacid.
I need some time to re-cover.
File them down?
File them down?
That might work--I'm sure my boss has a grinder and could do it for me.
I don't want Friday to come because this is my last week off work; I start back at Former Employer on Tuesday. And before then I have to get my Dad's taxes done, which is turning into way more of a complicated project than I expected.
Also: hire a designer for my brother's website, get dog to vet, schedule & get a massage, get my hair cut, bring some of the books in from the garage, sort my clothes for Good Will and move the winter clothes into the garage, make a couple loaves of oatmeal bread, and make some more vegetably soup to put in the freezer for lunches.
I did go to Ross yesterday where I got 2 dresses, 3 tops, and a skirt for $100. Which I figured is a good deal, even if I couldn't find the perfect dress for my niece's graduation (late June in Chicago).
