Everything looks good from here... Yes. Yes, this is a fertile land, and we will thrive. We will rule over all this land, and we will call it... 'This Land.' I think we should call it 'your grave!' Ah, curse your sudden but inevitable betrayal! Ha ha HA! Mine is an evil laugh! Now die! Oh, no, God! Oh, dear God in heaven!

Our wings are not tired.

IME (on both sides), it's always super stressful for the person giving notice and less of a deal for the person receiving it.

Also my experience.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

is there a setting for "all of them except that one?" The 14 Levels of Fangirling. Note careful avoidance of slash, also note Mandy Curtis' comment.

Throbby. I keep deciding it's not that bad, and I should, you know, get over it, but then I sit for half an hour with my leg bent so my knee is a couple inches higher than my foot and it gets all throbby again.

It's not that swollen! It should stop hurting.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

In local news, Whitey Bulger was found guilty of a bunch of stuff; will probably die in prison.

Jesse sounds like "if I have to shank him myself." is floating on the end of your pronouncement.

Ha! Not at all -- it's just, he's old, so I can't imagine the sentence will end up shorter than the rest of his life, even if it's not actually "life in prison."

I suddenly feel the need to add "if I have to shank him myself" to the end of many of my sentences.
