I know, world in peril and we have to work together. This is my last office romance, I'll tell you that.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Now I want to go ask my youngest coworker if she's heard of Live Aid, but I don't think we quite have that kind of relationship.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

Congrats, Suzi!

I worked with a girl in 1989 who not only was unaware that the Berlin Wall had just fallen, had not idea what the Berlin Wall was. When I explained it, she shrugged and said "who cares?"

airway fire
frostbite in the throat

Oh, god, no. The horror!

Punishingly Intricate

We have a new teammate who is British and new to town and, at our fundraiser last night where we were raffling off baseball tickets, asked me what an "Orioles" was!

Okay, I had a conversation with my manager this morning and I think we're on the same page WRT what I should be working on, so I have been empowered to say no to people.

Not good was that I whiffed on a call I was supposed to join this morning, but it turns out it's totally not my fault and I get to blame technology.

Must be patient with the baby-tech on the phone. He's working for a company that's cheap and hasn't told him things, just get the system working.

He sounds so damned young! I think I scared him. I'm not used to people who think I sound intimidating.

Yikes: The New York Daily News reports that L'Wren Scott, fashion designer and long-term partner of Mick Jagger, has been found dead in her Manhattan apartment. Sources say that her assistant discovered her hanging by a scarf from a doorknob. Scott left no note.

Because books.

I just saw a tweet from Tom and Lorenzo about that. And apparently she did tweet something right before her death, even if she didn't leave a note.

Oh my gosh, that's so sad.

Suicide is so, so sad.

I haven't trusted science since I saw the film "Flubber."

These people on Love it or List It, Too (because obviously they need more than one of these shows), and these people are such bitches, I can't even cope. Being on reality TV doesn't give you a license to be mean!

Yes, I know it kind of does.
