net zero is my goal. I have not even started on mine yet this year. I guess I should get on that.
So while we are getting unexpected snow, it looks like some of California is getting rain. Is it in a much needed area? It seems like the whole state needs it, yes?

Yeah, we have actual rain today, with more forecast through the weekend. It'll help a little bit, especially crops currently in the field, but what we really need is snow up in the mountains to replenish the strategic water reserves for summer.
I want my tax refund, dammit. I get about $100 usually from state, but Federal is larger. Depending on what happens this week, it will either help me shore up my funds for big crazy house project (TM), or else pay off my car.

Things that are annoying at work: on Monday the library integrated system software went down, which was annoying enough while it was actually down. But now we are discovering that part of the outage involved the system sending emails to a bunch of people - apparently enough emails that yahoo mail, gmail, aol and rr.com have all identified anything coming from any ourlibrary.org address as spam and bouncing them back (although helpfully waiting 48 hours before bouncing back). Which as one could imagine makes accomplishing our day to day work rather troublesome. Can I get a TINO, people?
Tell them if they'd given you snow days it wouldn't have happened, RIGHT TINO!?!?
