My mother is much better today. Yesterday was rough. She was in a lot of pain, was nauseous, and the pain meds made her itch. Either they gave her something to help her sleep or she was just more comfortable, because she slept better last night and is sleeping now.

NYC schools are open today even though the city is a giant slush pile right now. By the time I got to the subway this morning my umbrella must have weighed 5 pounds from all the ice.

Sox, how many more (sizable) branches does the tree have to drop?
I am not in a snowy place but it is unexpectedly cold here (below freezing) and I was not appropriately clothed/did not pack right. Also, as of Yesterday I FINALLY felt ok, throat was not sore, etc...and then started coughing and this morning I am back to sick (drippy nose, sore throat). I think I now have a DIFFERENT sickness. Not pleased. Wtf body.
Maybe that's part of the AU?
