Spent the night at a hotel instead of driving home in the snowstorm. When I woke up I noticed the bedside clock wasn't showing "a.m." it was showing "AU." Uh - oh. Now I'm going to be spending all day looking for differences.

Natter 72: We Were Unprepared for This
Off-topic discussion. Wanna talk about corsets, duct tape, or physics? This is the place. Detailed discussion of any current-season TV must be whitefonted.
Snowing like a hamster here. The kind of storm where the mayor has a secret sigh of relief that he/she didn't call it a snow emergency for nothing.
Uh-oh, dcp. The radio didn't start playing "I Got You, Babe" -- that would be a Very Bad Sign.
A few days late for that, but a little calendar drift would almost make sense
Since we all read dcp's post, are we in the AU too?
It is awfully pretty out there.
Other than the city salt dump truck barreling towards me at 50 in a 25 while straddling the yellow line, the drive in an hour ago was fine.
Except now, cramps. Bah.
We gots the snow. Maybe 5 or 6 inches? I'm on the train. I wish I had gotten my good boots out of storage as the ones I'm wearing have little tread left, which makes walking in the snow more energy-intensive. But hey, I gota good workout.
The good thing about this storm, here, is it's actually really warm. If they can get things plowed and salted it will be fine in very little time. I got all sweaty doing the work-related walk to the post office at 8:15 (jumping through 6 inches of slush in the streets).
Stay safe, people in snowy places!
I broiled my breakfast instead of baking it so the bottom is cold. Oops.
We had a little ice this morning. Enough to slow things down but not really stop them.
