I, for one, wasn't looking forward to starting my day with a slaughter. Which, really, just goes to show how much I've grown

I have much lighter and shorter periods than I used to, but I have them every 3 weeks, which is somewhat tedious.

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

Mine are much, much heavier than they used to be.

Fandom means never having to say "But where would I wear that?"

Timelies all!

The earlier conversation about dog crossbreeds made me think of the Eric Bogle song "Little Gomez", about a very amorous chihuahua.

Can't comment on my period because Mirena changed my life. I may have a day or two of spotting but it is SUCH a difference. Of course, my doctors plan is that I will be done with menopause by the time it would need to be replaced. Geee, thanks. This getting older shit bites.

I'm having a rough recovery day. On FB Amy wished she could send me Jensen Ackles and all I could think of was "ew, I don't want him to see me like this". I spent an hour weeping and have managed to piss of my only helper. He is still helping, so there is that.

today is just seriously shitty.

Because books.

Mine are much, much heavier than they used to be.

This seems to be a thing that happens (i.e. me, too). But the irregularity is what kills me.

Life moves pretty fast. You don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

When I had my hysterectomy 5 years ago, the instant surgical menopause meant hot flashes galore. I had a bunch of those herbal packs and had three or more in the freezer at all times. I would just keep switching them out until I cooled down. It was a novel experience, because I have been the person who was too cold all my life. So, sitting around in the evening in shorts was interesting.

brillig

My periods are still regular, but, praise be, very light except for about every three months. I'm tracking them primarily by the psychological changes of my cycle.
