So far today, I have been thwarted every time I try to do something, by circumstances outside of my control.
Mouse for the ops machine? Still missing.
Finally get (an old, crappy) mouse, FedEx website won't process shipment.
Finally get shipment to process (fiddle new step- click the teeny update button below the checkbox you just checked before you hit the submit WHAT THE FUCKING HELL FEDEX?!)
AND THE MOTHERFUCKING PC REBOOTS.
Fine.
Someone was supposed to bring me a new mouse.
No new mouse.
Permissions are wrong on a directory tree that I can't change, that I gave explicit instruction on last week.
It's crossed over into comedic.
But I'm getting jack shit done on account of this bullshit.
Hipster Batman
And his friends and enemies.
ER waiting room hell, I'm forced to listen to Dr. Phil interview a teenager who murdered her parents. Argh!
Why are the tvs in public areas almost always turned to Fox? Or whatever channel shows Judge Judy and her ilk?
Oh, Suela, I'm sorry. I hope your dad is ok
All possible vibes to your dad, Suela. And to you and better job prospects, and the decline and fall of your Nemesis (preferably non-physically-harmful, but good and humbling).
best to you dad and if it isn't fox it is cnn. I'm not sure why news is the default.
Vibes and Good thoughts going to your dad.
Why can't Amazon already have the drones everywhere?! I just broke out in hives but the roads are bad to get some Claritin. I have an antihistamine off brand but I've never taken it. Doctor didn't call me back so I don't know what is safe to take with my other medicine.
Eta: found the claritin. So all good.
Hot flashes are worst in the summer for me -- when the ambient temp is high. They at at the worst not while I'm exercising (or doing something that takes a fair amount of exertion) but about 10-15 minutes AFTER I've stopped.
Also, right when I'm falling asleep.
I fight back with cold packs, either on the forehead/under the head/in the small of my back which is a particular hot spot. Cooling down the last seems as though it affects the rest of the body. When I'm in the office working, I keep a bottle of cold water handy, not just to drink out of, but to discreetly tuck between the small of my back and the chairback.
