On my seventh birthday, I wanted a toy fire truck, and I didn't get it, and you were real nice about it, and then the house next door burnt down, and then real firetrucks came, and for years I thought you set the fire for me. And if you did, you can tell me!

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I tell you, it's not the NSA we should worry about. It's companies.

Yeah, I guess I knew that. I does make me want to game the system a little more, so at least it's to my benefit. This requires thinking about what I'll want to buy next week, but I can probably manage that.

I could almost literally not be more proud of myself for changing the chain on my ceiling fan light. Go team doing stuff!

Calli: My people have a saying. A man who trusts can never be betrayed, only mistaken.Avon: Life expectancy among your people must be extremely short.

Not just the NSA. I worry about both. And line between the two is not as clear as it might appear in any case.

Kate, no, it's American University in DC. Neither of my nieces wants to go back to Tennessee, I'm afraid. Which university were you thinking of? If you don't mind saying.

Aw, well -- that's exciting for her, though! The school I was thinking of was [name go poof!].

Phew, I finally got Rose down for a nap. Now she just has to wake up in, uh, 20 minutes so we can go to a friend's birthday party. (It's possible, but not exactly likely...)

My father went super-low-fat/vegan and dropped his cholesterol by 40 points in 3 months, so it is possible.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Join me in Day of Sloth (probably a more accurate name than the Day of Rest I usually style it), msbelle. We might have cookies, but they are way over there.

this mess was yours / now your mess is mine

Consuela, I am also in the crappy genetics boat and refuse to go on statins.

My father has had 5 heart attacks and a quadruple bypass and I refuse to go on statins. More and more research is indicating that cholesterol levels are not the problem, but inflammation is. A HUGE contributor to cardiovascular disease is [sob] sugar consumption.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I'm just sitting watching Ellen. I should at least be shredding and dealing with paper. Maybe next.
