Everything looks good from here... Yes. Yes, this is a fertile land, and we will thrive. We will rule over all this land, and we will call it... 'This Land.' I think we should call it 'your grave!' Ah, curse your sudden but inevitable betrayal! Ha ha HA! Mine is an evil laugh! Now die! Oh, no, God! Oh, dear God in heaven!

Because books.

I had a male vegetarian friend when I lived in Greece, and he had someone ask him if he was still able to have sex, despite not eating meat.

I know several vegan guys who've said that people have asked them this.

Are people doing sexy stuff I don't know about? Aside from swallowing, which seems like it would matter more to your partner from a vegan's perspective (in terms of consent), how are eating and sex related?

This could be one of those things I don't want to know, though.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Oh, well, soy=estrogen, the internet says so.

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

Eating meat is a manly thing to do. Vegetarians, therefore, become impotent. I think is the reasoning.

not your mom's socks.

Wow, people are weird.

Agreed. No one ever asked me that when I was vegetarian, though.

I managed to switch over most things from former doc earlier in the week, except for my records. But that means mammogram got moved to a new office and moved up to tomorrow. I am, as always, a bundle of nerves, with added not-wanting-to-be-needy or whatever. Here's hoping it goes smooth for you, Kat, and for me too. Then, next week, exciting routine bloodwork. I feel like I should get a sticker that says 'I am being a mother-f*cking adult.'

The lost sheep grow teeth, forsake their lambs, and lie with the lions.

Could I get some ~ma for an eye test I have tomorrow morning? An early test showed me as being at high risk for macular degeneration, and I'm re-testing tomorrow to see if the pigment levels in my retina are stable or not.

Eek, that's scary, Anne. Definitely -ma. And for Suzi, and Kat, and all medical testing!

I went and checked out a new beer place a few blocks away--they sell lots and lots of beers in bottles/cans, and also have a little bar with about 6 ciders and 20 beers on tap, and you can get pints or growlers, and they have a different food truck every night (which I posted about earlier). I did not have any beer or cider tonight (just a ginger beer) but will definitely try the cider flight next time I'm there. I had a Filipino bahn mi. It was pretty good, though could've used more pickled veggies.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

? An early test showed me as being at high risk for macular degeneration

Oof! My dad had that towards the end of his life. Not good.

Wishing you eye-ma.
