How did your brain even learn human speech? I'm just so curious.

On a slightly related note, did everyone catch the amazing "Please stay, Mr Hannity" PSA that Jon Stewart did Monday night

It was GLORIOUS.

I have reached a point where I no longer feel like I need to set my inbox on fire and go on the run. I think I'll get on a treadmill desk for a bit.

I’d be lying if I didn’t say that I miss them all tonight…

I'm now wondering about the vegan stance on swallowing.

I think there's a BRQG entry on the subject - from JenK, maybe? Something about how lord knows, it was given willingly?

I haven't trusted science since I saw the film "Flubber."

I suspect it will be a long time before New Orleans underreacts to something again.

Cabin fever and inactivity were making me super grouchy. I just walked for 30 minutes and I feel so much better.

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

I am the Liberal ambassador to the underbelly Conservatives in N. Central TX. YOU ARE WELCOME WORLD. Taking one for the team.

From one liberal atheist homosexual who performs abortions to another, I thank you.

I've been invited to a work dinner with important people, but it conflicts with my tentative plans to meet with a big group of fandom people in NYC.

The smart career move would be to choose the work dinner, but I think I'm going to choose friends.

Back tattoos of the mother is that you are absolutely right - Ame

You had prior commitments. They should get that.

So, I took the afternoon off, ran some errands, and just wandered around. CJ gets home in 15 minutes and then the roller coaster starts - pre-op, drop him off at karate, meet up with my friend, go to Mama Mia, sleep, get to the hospital at 9am and it is go time.

We are Buffistas. This isn't our first apocalypse. -- Pix

Indeed, I hope everything goes smoothly and painlessly, Suzi. Good luck!

msbelle, I value your courage in taking a stand. I'm so bad at personal political conflict.

Once I had a roommate's boyfriend ask me how I could be Catholic, because (and I kid you not) "Jesus was a Jew." Apparently his anti-semitism was so huge that it trumped everything else. Or possibly he thought that all Christians were hypocritically anti-semitic, I'm not sure. I couldn't bring myself to dig into his logic, and hastily fled the kitchen.

In other news, my dad has a new upper plate, yay. But the dealership can't fix my car stereo, and I suspect I won't be able to get it done cheaply and will just have to suffer without an iPod in the car for some time. Anyone know how much it would cost to replace a factory-installed stereo with one that actually, you know, works?

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Good luck with everything, Suzi!
