Our wings are not tired.

Using the plumber that had been around forever and knew just what supply house would have thingamabobs that saved us replacing whole units was totally worth it because we would not have that insider knowledge. Using the carpenter that could deal with hanging doors in an old house with nothing remotely square was worth it.

DH did a lot of the fine carpentry in the kitchen like making new drawers and stuff because he enjoyed it and installed vanities, electrical fixtures, and stuff.

Putting butted tile throughout the whole uneven house. Totally a job for professionals.

Sometimes there are tough lessons when you think it is a DIY and it really isn't. Fortunately I learned many of those years ago.

Our wings are not tired.

Made oatmeal in the slow cooker overnight Friday.

I don't know why I haven't done this yet.

So you know the signature picture of the Bloggess with a cat on her head?

I took a cat to the face getting out of the shower.

Pumpkin likes to leap up on my shoulder/back as I'm toweling off, and usually ends up on my head (I keep typing haid) as I work the towel up into a turban around my hair.

She misjudged/timed her leap this time and landed belly first on my face, paws around my head and neck.

She did persevere and got her usual ride around the bathroom and towel nuzzling session.

OK, appointment with the vacuum starts now.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

I'm glad I finally got a professional to put up the porch railing. It looks much much better than our DIY project did. He worked until 10 o'clock last night, outside in the freezing cold. He told me he doesn't work on Sundays. That's cool, but now I don't know when he's going to come back and finish.

Connie, wishing the best for your Irish friend. What a mess.

Sometimes I wish someone had warned me off the crazy-ass bastard I got mixed up with. But I probably wouldn't have listened anyway.

If Loki did any of this, I'd need a chiro. She's a light little thing.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Face-hugger cat!

Today, in Cats: Continuing Coverage

Leo woke me this morning by snuzzling up under my chin. He's never done that before. Odd, but a more pleasant way to wake me up than stomping across my chest and meowing loudly.

It's five thousand for kissing, ten thousand for snuggling... End of list.

I wish I knew why Loki choses the digging method to get me up

I have an annoying cat wake up and a classy cat wake up too, though Kripkat's gentle method is sitting on my chest (he's light), which is hardly effective at getting anyone to move anywhere.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I was going to say! I couldn't imagine how any of that was ok.
