Tara: What's so bad about them coming here? Aren't they good guys? I mean, Watchers, that's just like whole other Gileses, right? Buffy: Yes! They're scary and horrible!

Went out last night with friends from the hood and actually stayed for the whole show! Which ended at midnight. Joe was shocked. That was fun.

Yet I was still up first at 5:30, uhg. But fought the cats to sleep in until it was time to go to market. I've got to get to the pool before 11, then out to Ellicott City for a haircut this afternoon- where I might just run into the friends from last night and market, as they're picking up S's engagement ring from being resized at a shop out there. Even when I leave my neighborhood, it follows me.

Ate so much last night. I was starving as I'd just eaten carrots all day, just plain carrots and apparently that is insufficient. So I had a prosciutto, spinach, rosemary and asiago risotto, then a lot of thincrust balsamic chicken pizza and a steady supply of bourbon and gingers. I was so sure I'd have leftovers, but nsm. I'm waiting for my guts to revolt.

Finish this coffee and then pool.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

So, it's not warm enough not to have heat in the house. And my furnace isn't working! And the landlord is out. Bah.

Oh no! That pesky landlord.

Ah jeez, it's snowing again. I wasn't expecting that until later. Better go check the forecast again.

this mess was yours / now your mess is mine

It's 25 here, which is positively tropical, but there's so much snow on icy roads that there's a snow emergency (level 2; which means that only people who have to be on the roads should be out). Looks like my trip to the gym is going to be replaced by snow shoveling.

I just shoveled my walk (mr. flea gets to do the driveway, mwahaha) and it's easy going. Depth varies from 2-6 inches (it was windy over here) but it's wet enough to stick but fluffy enough to be light, and it's quite warm out (compared to most of this week, that is.)

And googling suggests whatever the problem is, it needs a pro. Bah! I remember in olden days just relighting the pilot ourselves!

flea, I meant to tell you, I've been seeing paeans to various public libraries through all of these snow days -- at least parents are grateful that you people are always there!

Oh, phew -- they got home, and it was a super easy thing to fix! It just needed water.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Hooray for heat that works!

Looks like I am having a French-Press-at-Sunrise kind of day.
