Reavers ain't men. Or they forgot how to be. Now they're just nothing. They got out to the edge of the galaxy, to that place of nothing, and that's what they became.

Kat, you might want to wait on the Red Bull 'til the ex is pulling up in the driveway, just in case. Maybe a pixie stick or two.

Given that I want to punch the kid in the face, you are probably right.

My kids are now up an hour past their bedtime and they won't go to sleep and I don't have the heart to force them because then the other kid will be alone. Tomorrow is going to be a fucking nightmare for my kids.

So the kid has asked when his dad is going to pick him up at least 5 times in the past hour. I may lose it soon.

All sorrows can be borne if you put them into a story. Tell me a story.

Oh, also, I didn't realize until I was leaving the locker room that I was wearing my Joss Whedon is My Master T-shirt and carrying my 42 towel. I may not be as stealthy in my geekdom as I like to think.

Heh.

Honestly, I'd put all the kids to bed (it's a comforting routine!) and meet the dad outside for a chat when he deigns to show up.

Because books.

How old is this kid, Kat?

Also, I think I'd do as sarameg said. Either that or give him a coloring book in the other room and put the twins to bed.

Cats to become a rabbit should gather immediately now here

I can't decide whether to work from home or to go in today. I am sure I can make it but it is 3 degrees and since I ride public transportation, I could be stuck outside for awhile. I also have to wash my hair, and it will take forever to dry (and it is much too cold to go outside with it wet!)

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

If working from home is an option, I vote for that.

I'm working from home. Between these weirdass sneezing fits and I don't want to shovel at this hour/temp/wind...I have my work laptop. No one needs to be a hero.

I can VPN and or log into Blackboard. I may text my student worker and see if she can work at home, too, as she has no boots and walks!
