So I love this:
someone who I have not spoken to since around 1994 (maybe earlier, but let's go with this) sent me an email essentially saying: "is this you?" - full message.
I had to google her name and find her resume to recall where I knew her from. We worked together and I knew her well enough, but someone you haven't spoken to in 15 years or more, you need a more complete introductory email message than that.
