We are Buffistas. This isn't our first apocalypse. -- Pix

I have been to the grocery store--two, in fact. One for the vegetables and one where I ordered the turkey. And I have made a lasagna for tonight, and a pumpkin pie for tomorrow.

What I need to do is wrap gifts but I think I shall eat some late lunch and rest my feet and maybe nap.

It's a supremely slow day here at work. I'm trying to write. If only I didn't hate this particular character so much. But if I don't write her bit now I'll never do it, because I hate dealing with her. Come on, writing! This used to be easier than breathing!

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

We're off to EM's house!

Merry Christmas everybody!

I'm glad I took today off. I peeked at work e-mail and have zero messages addressed to just me only system messages that our financial system won't be updated today - which means, I wouldn't have updated data to work with anyway.

I have cut green beans for tomorrow and sweet potatoes are roasting in the oven. Presents are all wrapped and the house is clean. Once the sweet potatoes are done, can I go to bed?

OH, and we are supposed to have a White Christmas! Two to four inches overnight! Very excited. I didn't think it would take 5 years in Colorado before getting a White Christmas.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

We just finished our 7 fishes feast at Mom's so full. Mom and Stepdad bought TCG and I a Le Creuset tagine. I can't wait to try it out.

Oops. I meant to post that in Bitches. Hi, Natter!

Now tagless for your comfort.

Merry Christmas!

I am feeling human again although coming down from painkillers. Getting ready to make gingerbread houses with the kids and listening to the Christmas mix Hec made for me a few years ago.

I'm glad you're feeling better, Cash.

We got an unexpected inch of snow here tonight. It looks lovely. In about 10 minutes well be heading out to see Les Mis.

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

It's snowing here too!

Glad to hear it, Cash.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Guess who can't listen to Christmas music tonight? Me!

At EM's house. She got rid of her CD player when she got her iPod, and then her iPod died. She's getting a new one from Emmett tomorrow (which I loaded with Christmas music) but she won't get it until tomorrow.

We've already watched Elf and nibbled our way through an antipasti tray. Dinner in a couple. Matilda's wound up, Emmett's head first into electronics and JZ's hiding in a book.
