I say refund, depending on the amount, because not worth the hassle. It's just....not worth dealing with stupid people if the amount is not particularly large.
I had a fedex package on my doorstep today -- not the usual pre-xmas packages, but 8 portfolios to score for a writing award contest. I love that I take on grading even when I am not teaching a class. WTF is wrong with me?

Turns out she had the wrong address on her account. She said she checked her neighbor's and her package was there. So I am technically just out one my product and the second shipping. Total $30. Her neighbors only speak Spanish so she needs to find an interpreter to find out if they got the original package.

That's pretty delightful Cash. So glad Owen's teacher gets him. Plus now I want that book. Also want the graphic novelization of Ulysses. We have a graphic novelization of Dracula; that's fun, although surprisingly scary for my kids.
