I don't know anyone who is seriously worried, but it's still kind of annoying to see it everywhere. It's kind of like how Octomom happened right when we were trying to get PG using IVF. I was ready to smack the next person who said, "Just don't put in 8!" Shut it, smartasses.

Off-topic discussion. Wanna talk about corsets, duct tape, or physics? This is the place. Detailed discussion of any current-season TV must be whitefonted.
The world's not going to end. That'd be too easy. It's like when you realize in January that your last desk calendar is no longer accurate and have to go to Office Max for a new one. Does Office Max still exist?
Ugh, I have the stabbiest headache right now. It's not even the level of pain that is making me want to go fetal, it's the stabbiness. I'm considering throwing up and taking a nap. I don't think I could sleep but I could hide.
So how many people are actually freaking out about the world ending on Friday?
I'm not worried, but I'll be annoyed if it happens. Of course, it's not like I can do anything about it.
Timelies all!
I haven't heard anyone talk about the "end of the world" seriously. I would be annoyed if it happened, as well. There are so many books left to read!
I'm attending it as a facebook event, so it must be true.
Does Office Max still exist?
Not the Mayan franchises, which is the problem. Where am I supposed to get my Long Count wall carvings for the next 7000 years?!
I hope the home health thing works out, ita! And that the Hobbit is thoroughly enjoyable.
And now that I am on a computer and not my phone - thanks for sorting out what past me was talking about, y'all! I could have googled, but I was sure buffistas would know without me having to figure out relevant search terms.
And also because I failed to make this joke at the actual event today, but since the US government apology to Native peoples was read aloud today, I totally believe that it's the end of the world now.
I would be annoyed if it happened, as well. There are so many books left to read!
EXACTLY. Plus I've got a fancy event to emcee on NYE, complete with a fancy fancy outfit that I want to wear. The world can't end, it would thwart my fashion plans.
At the moment, I'm looking forward to the end of the world.
Okay, so I am grading papers. Which I absolutely cannot fucking stand. Hate it.
Anyway, you know what puts me in a REALLY good mood? A student, a graduate student, getting her master's degree, citing the History Channel as a citation in a paper. Not a published article. Not a book. And *not* related directly to our field.
