You know, with the exception of one deadly and unpredictable midget, this girl is the smallest cargo I've ever had to transport. Yet by far the most troublesome. Does that seem right to you?

Now let us crush something soft and watch it fountain blood. That is a girlish thing to want to do, yes?

I suspect it's just been there/done that boredom on Johnson's part considering his support of his nova-flamboyant son.

Eh, I didn't even read it as BTDT so much as wrong generation -- Magic retired from playing years before Collins even played college ball; all the other tweets were from teammates and/or on-court rivals. Magic's comment read to me like something you'd see from someone in the NBA front office: I support you, young man! Remind me just who you are, again?

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Yay, msbelle!

I think I've done well keeping myself busy with stuff that is actually relevant to my job but this final hour has me at a loss.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

msbelle! Glam! Go both of you!

Trudy, I hope your father's wife wakes up soon.

Magic's son is not stylistically unlike the son on House of Lies (which is the most Motttastic show I've loved--it's like repeated uppercuts you keep walking, nay, running into). He's certainly willing to ignore gender norms when he gets dressed in the morning.

I bailed from work after working out how to implement image maps with CSS, which was interesting knowledge to acquire. I asked the Web Team (who are not part of IT--I swear it makes some sort of sense) for simple code to put image hovers on t a links, and they laughed at me and asked if the sky (aka HTML 5) was the limit. I explained that I was the only person who'd be using it, not developers, so yes. HTML 5 is more than desired. It's kind of sad that it's true--we don't officially know HTML 5 in the IT group, but since I'm not a developer, I'm not bound by that limitation.

Seems I won't get it in time to incorporate into the mockup, but I will be interested to see how they implement it--they never fail to make me want to get back into HTML, but depress me about lack of design skill and flair. Well, at least I indent tidily.

I would love to collapse for the day, but I am hoping hoping I can get my Mac back today. So much of my daily workflow hinges on it--reading twenty browser windows is tricky on the tablet, and I only use the desktop for 2/3 of my stuff. Which doesn't include, say, scanning my challenge drawings. My father is being deliberate about giving me feedback on those, and he sees way more than I put in. But he does think my "orange" picture was too orange. Don't I get a pass for that? Also, suck with colour. I hope he likes my pink shoes better. And...fuck...I don't even know today's prompt. Reason £...where did my octothorpe go? Fucking Brits. I mean, second reason to not collapse for the day.

And, shit, I have a neuropsych appointment tomorrow morning. Are they going to evaluate if I'm mentally healthy enough for pain relief? I have no idea who to pretend to be.

I realised this morning that I don't have the right jacket to wear on a grey morning with jeans and a pink gingham shirt. That's...unfortunate evidence of stupid clothing shopping. No excuse for that. I think the shrunken (what is that faux-small trend called?) velvet blazer looked silly.

Random clothing...thing. These belts: s3.amazonaws.com/bonanzleimages/afu/images/3666/1851/3holebelt6.JPG are the niftiest. My co-worker called them out as belts you can get fat in, but I needed to stipulate you could also lose weight too. I would never buy a normally grommetted belt again, pretty much, if I could avoid it.

Right. Time to track down a drawing challenge.

Woot, woot, msbelle!!!

So, I'm going into the office tomorrow. With my purple highlights. Wonder if anyone will say anything? Did I mentioned I'm going in cause our group has a meeting with the company president?

I think they are called shrunken blazers. Ooh, I bought a belt like that recently, after you mentioned the style before, expressly so I can keep wearing it as I lose weight. I am having a lot of trouble with my waistbands and belts lately, even from one day to the next I can't predict how anything will fit. I don't think I am actually changing shape that fast, I don't know what's going on.

Still half an hour of work and nothing to do...
