Now, I can hold a note for a long time...actually I can hold a note forever. But eventually that's just noise. It's the change we're listening for. The note coming after, and the one after that. That's what makes it music.

I haven't trusted science since I saw the film "Flubber."

Oh, man, I am already hitting maximum phone saturation, especially since I'm taking the opportunity to schedule cancellation of services for this house.

And they didn't even succeed in buying tea, because of an address mismatch.

Wow, I'm on hold with the city (they provide electricity), and they have the worst hold music I think I've ever heard. And that's a tough competition.

information libertarian

I ate "lunch" at a frozen yogurt place today, and when I walked in they were playing Black Horse and The Cherry Tree, and then Alison came on. Best in-store music combo I've had in a long time!

I spent $79.30 at the mid-scale thrift store and got 10-items of work-appropriate clothing! Unfortunately only one of these was pants, which is what I need most.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

AND you should round up your total to support Girls Inc.

Because books.

I have no focus or motivation this afternoon, which may be because it's cold and pouring rain, and I'm in comfy sweats working with a quilt over my lap.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I can't decide on a favourite TV show.

::collapses sobbing::

I just called a project lead to tell him the password rules they had in QA were incorrect--they don't say you need an alphabetical character (yes, I tried 12345678! since it said I needed a number and a special character) and he was so nice about it. Especially considering the degree of literal and pedant and not raised by humans I was bringing to the table, but I guess QA people may like that even more than code people. I hope Marketing finds out it was me that caused the content re-write. This is almost as good as the bug report I made to one of our vendors which necessitated a whole new release (which we're not installing). Ownership. Gives me warm and fuzzies.

(so far I have 4 favourite TV shows...)
