Oh, I get it. You just don't like who did the rescuing, that's all. Wishin' I was your boyfriend what's-his-height. Oh wait, he's run off.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

I'm not sure what's typical for me these days. Having a sugary soda the same day as a(sugar-free, now that I think about it) cupcake, which I am doing right now, perhaps.

I am brenda wrt sheets. And I have noticed my pajama pants inching up my legs, but it doesn't Boyer me.

Eta: Boyer? Huh. I'll leave it because I think you guys can puzzle out what I meant. Also, very cool brenda!

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Yay brenda!

I haven't trusted science since I saw the film "Flubber."

OMG, buying a house is such a giant pain in the ass.

this mess was yours / now your mess is mine

(Ended up mostly chasing after jellyfish.)

Which is totally typical.

Days shrink and grow cold, sunlight through leaves is my song. Winter is long.

Suzi, I swear, I would use my best trainer voice, when K-Bug got up to go into another room, and point at him: "Sit. Stay." Chances are he'd be startled enough to do as you say, and wait for an explanation. At which point I'd push a tiny piece of hot dog into his mouth and praise, "Good boy! She'll be back in a minute, yeah? Good boy! Stay!" And repeat at each repetition until he refused to come back in the house with the crazy lady, or got the point.

Not...that I've ever done anything like that to my kids' friends or SOs.

I grew up in a houseful of handmade quilts and always had at least one on my bed, two in cold weather. I loved the weight. H grew up with comforters and liked the weightlessness. At some point I realized my morning aches and stiffness were made worse by the weight of covers, and got rid of the quilts. Both of us run hot, so comforters are too warm, and usually we're down to a sheet and a cotton thermal blanket, with or without a light throw on top to retain the heat. Even in hot weather and no AC, I need a top sheet. For protection, you know. Must have huddle shield in my sleep. I like air movement, but not a draft. Even in hot weather, the fan oscillates so there's not a steady stream of air on me.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

New question: What's the last atypical thing you did?

Right now I'm alone in my apartment, which almost never happens. But I don't expect it to last very long.

(Our neighbors host a weekly potluck which DH and the kids are at right now. I got home later than usual and assumed they'd be home already, so I came straight here instead of stopping by. But they're not home yet, and I have the whole place to myself. So exciting!)

"It didn't taste good. It tasted soooo horrible. It tasted like....a vodka martini." - Matilda

Life moves pretty fast. You don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

Just came home from a job interview at Sony. This was at Sony TV, so it was on the lot, in the Harry Cohn building. Always cool to walk by the commissary and all. I would LOVE to work at Sony, despite to loooooong commute, but I don't know how well I did on this interview. I think would be really good at this particular job, but I am not sure the interviewer thinks so. I have one more Sony interview on Monday, at the digital arm. Keep your fingers crossed!

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

I think we may have just had an earthquake. A tiny one.
