Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

In to my 20s, I would lie down on my back and never move again until morning. Now I usually fall asleep on my side and move around some. I always wear something, but it varies on the temperature. Top sheet, definitely, because I'd rather wash my sheets more often than my duvet cover. I'm currently wondering if my mouthguard makes me sleep less well, and if the benefit of not grinding my teeth down to nubs is worth it.

I have this question also. It does make me sleep less well, though. I don't wonder about it so much.

I'm not sure if the regular grinding is worse. I slept SO WELL on vacation, and didn't have my mouthguard with me, but also was on vacation.

Because books.

I start on my side, and sometimes wind up on my stomach, but I generally just switch sides. Never slept on my back. Two pillows.

No top sheet, comforter only, t-shirt, panties, bare feet. Sometimes when it's really cold I'll put on a pair of light pajama pants. I like it colder in the room so I can burrow, and if S. had his way we'd have a fan on all the time. I generally crack a window even in the winter. I can't stand to be hot when I'm sleeping.

Oh god, I forgot to say how much I hate the fans! I'm in general not a fan of white noise, so even when the fan wasn't blowing on me, the noise bothers me.

Our wings are not tired.

Lots of pillows, cocooned, top sheet, blankets, and in perpetual motion. One side, the other side, flipped with head to foot of bed, on my stomach, on my back. Might say I am a restless sleeper. I really like sleeping on the boat and should do so more often. Ah, rock to sleep.

When the boys were small we played musical beds a lot without planning it. They would be in our bed, we would grab a recliner or couch, every combination imaginable, including tents in the yard. We are pretty random with the sleep patterns. I've recently moved a comfy couch to the patio and am considering picking up some mosquito netting so I can sleep outside. More options are always good.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

If I had my way I would sleep naked under a ton of blankets with the windows wide open, but DH comes to bed later than I do and closes the window if it's too cold. And since we are apt to have kids running into the room early in the morning, I sleep in a t-shirt. NEVER socks. Dylan is a socks-sleeper (and has been since he was an infant) and I do not understand how anyone sleeps that way without overheating.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

When I lived in Boston we had a narrow back porch, and my gf and I would pull my mattress out there to sleep. It was so much cooler out in the open air during the summer, with the breeze.

Our wings are not tired.

It has to be way below freezing for me to wear socks, and then I would still kick them off at some point. Even on chilly nights my feet will pop out from time to time.

Like Jessica, naked under warm blankets with the window open is the best way to sleep on chilly nights.

Back tattoos of the mother is that you are absolutely right - Ame

Sleep - start on my side and roll to the other side, back and forth through the night. Two pillows, one for hugging. Top sheet, tucked in at the end of the bed but my feet must have a way to pop out from the covers when I need to regulate temperature. I typically set my iPhone to play music for 30 minutes as I fall asleep.

I'd love a No Rouz with buffistas - everyone cooking or visiting or pouring booze or hiding on the porch (I don't have a back set of stairs).

Matt - you asked about the candied orange peels. When I make this it is with other stuff, so if you just want the orange peels, you would need to fiddle around with the proportions.

As mentioned, peel a bunch of oranges, scrape off as much of the pith as possible, sliver the thin peel into small thin pieces. Then you boil the slivered orange peel in 3 cups of water for 5 minutes and drain. Put them back in a sauce pan with 6 slivered carrots, 3 cups of water, and 2 cups sugar and boil for 15 minutes. Drain.
