Jesse, even then, it still works. If you are the shoe seller, and you have a woman who needs heels, you'd never show her a pair of Nikes.
So in weird My-neighborhood-is-odd stories... I took Grace a couple of blocks away to get iced tea and a treat drink from Coffee Bean. I decided to stop at the grandma shop (no, seriously, this is the storefront: [link] to get a new bra since I couldn't find either of the other two I own and they carry Wacoal and I don't have to struggle to find parking at the mall. So I go to pay and realize I have my purselet but no wallet. ARGH. They set the bras aside and we leave to go back home to get my wallet. I do, however, have enough cash for the drinks, so we go to CB. I run into a coworker there and tell her my stupidity. She then kindly offers to let me use her charge card to buy the bras and then I can pay her back. It's so kind but also, awkward, amirite?
My neighborhood is odd.
Slivering is what I meant. They end up candied with slivered carrots, almonds, and pistachios.
Suzi, could I beg the recipe/preparation instructions from you? Candied orange served at Rena Franklin's restaurant during their Mediterranean round table phase is one of my ur-desserts, and my attempts to duplicate it at home failed miserably.
Oh, for fuck's sake. I hate computers. Trying AGAIN:
msbelle, I'm sorry for the epic of work suck. I hope you find sane bosses soon.
Today was....was. There's a wild snipe hunt in the works, and I'm pretty sure how it ends. It was something I worked on my first year in this position, and I did it right, there's no snipe. So sad, too bad, snipe became mythological at least 2 migrations ago. Failed edit lost the rest of this. But I'm pretty sure the data is lost unless Goddard can cough up the engineering and they...yeah, no. A few gigabytes lost out of over 50 Tb over 20+ years?
Doesn't seem so large, sara. Sorry, though.
I'm heading to bed, but I'll have a resume ready for comments by the weekend. volunteers?
it's not large, just will fuss the mission fussbudgets. (There has been much more data we've declared crap and consigned to a class of data we call PRB for problem. Still save it, just remove it from view.)
There is this lovely scene with Diane Keaton
Diane Wiest, right?
And Henry Selick was the director and there's as much of him in Nightmare as there is Burton, and you can see that when you compare it to Coraline.
Okay, I'm reading an article on xoJane on how often people change their sheets/use a fresh bath towel. And the comments section is cracking me up, because of the very definite opinions people have on top sheets. I had no idea people were so vigorously anti- or pro-top sheet.
(Me: pro-top sheet, all the way. It's a texture thing -- I don't like having just the blanket against my arms and legs. But I never, EVER tuck in the top sheet down at the foot of the bed. My feet need to be free. Tim loves the top sheet tucked in, so when I make the bed, it's all Continental Divide going on down at the foot, half tucked in and half all hippie and free.)
Ditto on needing a top sheet here too. I always have one except on those rare occasions when it's hot enough that sleeping naked under the ceiling fan would be preferable.
