Edie Shoma Mobarak, Suzi! That's a marvelous tradition!
I had a VOIP conference this morning too. VOIP works fine...except when it's dropping sound and everything's garbled. No idea why that happens.
Off-topic discussion. Wanna talk about corsets, duct tape, or physics? This is the place. Detailed discussion of any current-season TV must be whitefonted.

Alas, I am not wearing new clothes, visiting friends, nor cooking Persian today. K-Bug and bf are here, so I have some family covered. There is a whole hierarchy of who visits who in what order. The younger generation visits the older generation first, unless there has been a family with a death, then they are visited first. The visits extend for 13 days after No Rouz. So lots of visiting.
That's our issue. Add in a lot of people using the VOIP phones to call into webex meetings and the faint fuzz on the line magnifies and enough people on webex and IT gets flaky and UHG.
Better quality than cells, less than the old phones.
It sounds like a really lovely tradition, Suzi. Hey, how's the puppy?
I don't know if this was mentioned but 10 of Michelle Shocked's next tour dates were cancelled. It looks like the one that wasn't the person who could cancel it is out.
I haven't gotten a puppy update today. Last time we talked, they had gotten him a bark collar. He is pretty well house training, has one bush that is his poop bush.
Ugh msbelle, how demoralizing.
Lots of new job~ma to you.
Yes this, with a good boss this time.
Suzi is that the holiday that involves a lovely picnic in the park? In Irvine, there's a park where a lot of Persians gather to celebrate and eat and it's always so much fun.
Tons of job~ma, msbelle!
Om nom nom. Last night I got to go to this random "women's event" that was held for Kimpton frequent-stay members (I don't stay there that often, I don't have crazy status! But not passing up free dinner, plus I got to bring my roommate!). We had a great three course dinner from the chef at the attached restaurant (this Kimpton is where we had the Seattle F2F!). And after dessert (coconut custard thing, with dulce de leche and key lime whipped cream, which was delicious but I couldn't even finish), we were handed boxes of "beer sea salt caramels" to take home. Three caramels per box. I'm eating them now and they are so good. OM NOM NOM.
Yes, the end of the 13 days is often celebrated with a picnic in the park. Though, the Persian families I know don't always wait for the end of the 13 days. My dad is having a huge party on Sunday for No Rouz.
Puppy update - he tried to run away last night after a potty walk. Bf had let him off leash to go up the stairs to the apartment. Zeus decided to chase a wild bunny but came when K-Bug called him.
