I hope you're feeling a little better this morning, ita,
-t, where does one get shelf-stable cream? Though what I really want is a source for those tiny creamers you get at restaurants. Those would be best, so I don't open a big thing of creamer, use it for two days, and then leave for a week.
That's lovely, Suzi. And I am coincidentally wearing clothes I haven't worn before, so I feel like I"m celebrating a little now. Edie Shoma Mobarak
Eta: Trader Joe's had boxes of shelf-stable cream at Thanksgiving time, 8 oz each, so I stocked up then. Costco seems like they would have huge boxes of the little restaurant creamers, now that I think about it.
So far 2013 hasn't been that great, so I certainly welcome the beginning of a new year, particularly one with delicious Persian food in it!
Mmm, delicious Persian food sounds marvelous.
TJ's still has shelf-stable cream--check the baking section, where you can also get sweetened condensed milk in a bottle rather than a can. Me, I need to lay in some shelf-stable milk for the next time I run out.
Driver's door? Whoa, super scary.
Nope, passenger rear. But the angle was... unsettling. She's fine, just really shaken up. It's funny, she noted the same thing I did, which is that gunshots in real life don't sound like they do on tv: they sound much more like firecrackers. Much less bass & reverb.
Consuela - has she talked with the police?
Dr. Jeff Masters' WunderBlog : Where's spring? 2nd most extreme March jet stream pattern on record extends winter | Weather Underground
This is the second most extreme March value of the index since record keeping began in 1948; only an AO value of -6.3 in March 1970 was more extreme. We've had some wildly variable jet stream patterns in recent years in the Northern Hemisphere. Just last year, we had the opposite extreme in March, when our ridiculous "Summer in March" heat wave brought a week of temperatures in the 80s to the Midwest U.S. The first day of spring today in Chicago, IL is expected to have a high temperature of just 25°F--a 60 degree difference from last year's high of 85°F on March 20!

You would think, right? But I have never seen them. It's tempting to just steal them from restaurants and stuff, but that would be complicated, and I'd rather just buy them!
