Handsome brooding vampire guy has to swoop in all sensitive mouth and overhanging forehead. How 'bout leaving some scraps for the homely-looking fellows who don't turn evil when they get some?

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

Internship applicant claims to have an "excessive understanding" of our business. Pretty sure that's not the adjective he was going for.

UNC's Southern Historical Collection has my kind of March Bracket going on Facebook: weird names of the South. I gotta say, "Confederate States Royston" might just take it all. [link]

"I remember when they eventually introduced that drug kingpin who murdered people and smuggled drugs inside snakes and I was like 'Finally. A normal person.'” —RahvinDragand

The only thing better would be if Christopher Lee was involved somehow.

He could finally be the ring-bearer!

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

My problem with dystextia is that Ambien and dilaudid both inspire it. I don't know how I talk on Ambien, so I don't have a control, but I can talk a lot more clearly than I can type on dilaudid. Nurses can't tell I'm under the influence, but writing for the next half hour or so is a no-no. And re-reading is useless.

As you've no doubt noticed.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I gotta say, "Confederate States Royston" might just take it all.

It's especially good because I imagine ole C.S. Royston coming after the other ones, because his parents were pissed off that other family members kept naming people after Yankee states. And were indecisive.

Life moves pretty fast. You don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

msbelle, I was out with a friend last night, who told me that every disagreement with her 10-year-old son ends with him screaming "I hate you so much!" at the top of his lungs at her. She is not enjoying it.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Phew, really glad I didn't have to go through that phase with Emmett. I mean he tried it on for size a few times when he was little when they want to see if they can hurt your feelings, but that was easy to shrug off.

OMG, today's special from the food truck was s'mores. With homemade graham crackers, toasted marshmallows, and Nutella. You better BELIEVE I bought one.
