Overwhelming? How much more than whelming would that be exactly?

Because books.

I have now already missed the first five minutes, and I don't seem to be getting up off this bed, so ...

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

I don't think it was stupid; I think it was willful and purposeful.

Seems like a bit of both to me.

Thrive to spite them

So the Ohio Attorney General is trying to go after other people involved in the rape case, it looks like people who covered it up and also the person who hosted the party.

They've also arrested 2 teenage girls for making credible threats against the victim.

Because books.

The Steubenville case is making me absolutely loathe humanity.

Except, you know, you guys.

Oh noes! Forget Michelle Shocked, did anyone else come across this?: Peter Murphy arrested for alleged DUI hit-and-run in Glendale

Peter Murphy has played a far bigger role in my musical identity than Ms. Shocked, so this is a low blow.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Part of me thinks it's stupid since she lost work, but if you truly fear the world will end, that's relatively trivial in the face of it. Go her for perspective!

On the serious side, go 2/3 of the audience for bailing --I don't know if I would, because I do like a good juicy trainwreck, and every heckle I've never jeckled could be unleashed without guilt--divisive...also great that the employees shut her down, and great again to all the internet commenters who are sweeping the comments section explaining what free speech is not. Christ, some people don't even know how to martyr right.

Two of my co-workers that I spoke with today wore the same deep burgundy coloured shirt I did today--I mentioned it to the developer who matched me, and he asked what to wear tomorrow. "Pink!" was out of my mouth before my brain worked out the question--I realise that if you tell me to wear colour X, I will show up in pink instead, unless you tell me to wear pink in which case I will wear black.

Still, I didn't realise I wore my favourite pink shirt (plaid--I feel like an effeminate lumberjack--and that's okay) Friday, so although I washed it this weekend, it's too soon. What pink do I have clean??? Not as much pink that's appropriate for presenting to the director's meeting in, I realise. In fact, maybe the plaid would have been too coy Seattle. I think I will wear my pink 50s vintage dress, but without the crinolines so I'm not too too. All for the silly directors, and my one point to make to the co-worker--who did pause after initially rejecting the idea, saying he had a pink shirt.

We shall see. If he's not wearing that tomorrow morning, I will offer him the pink tie I keep at my desk always for emergency co-worker palette expansion.

In summary, however, I do need a pink sweater. How come I don't have a pink sweater???

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

I'm very pleased to have my pink gingham shirt back. I'm not sure what I can wear it with, but I will figure something out.

The StuntHusband called me as soon as the news broke. I'm really upset about it.
