I like that list, Lee.
I don't like ita's list.
Can you divide it up, Consuela, half splurge and half conservative?
If anyone's still interested in the Pope, his name, and being a Jesuit, here's a quick piece by Colbert Nation chaplain Jim Martin.
Awesome, I thought I'd have to wait another week before I got the official Colbert Nation reaction to the new pope (not that I have read that piece yet, but I assume it will fill that hole for me)
I envy people with tax refunds.
My fed tax return paid part of the electric bill.
Okay, applying for a job via email...
The text of the email is my cover letter? Do I also attached a copy of the cover letter? Or do I not use the text of the email as my cover letter, and essentially write a cover letter to the cover letter?
So, so confused.
I've done it both ways, depending on how conservative I was trying to be -- if I attach a cover letter, I just say, "Please find my application attached" or whatever in the body of the email.
I envy people with tax refunds.
do not want to discuss this.
How old is your old Mac Book?
It's a Spring 2008 that I got refurbished in the fall of 2008, so it's had four solid years of work. I like it, but even after putting more memory in it, it's beginning to get a bit obsolete. For one thing, I can't put Chrome on it, and Firefox won't update anymore, so I'm going to be at risk for security problems.
I probably could do both the computer and the landscaping, frankly. But I'm looking at all the costs associated with selling the house--repairs, staging, etc., and I probably should just hang onto the laptop for now.
Apparently our hiring process is so fubar they've pissed off the captains, and they brought in a GS-14 or -15 to work on it. But I am not sanguine, as Zoe would say.
Now that I sent off that resume, I am doing my taxes. Do I know how to party on my day off or what?
We should hear about the house soon. Twitch. Twitch twitch.
