I'm so sorry, but if it makes you feel any better, my fun-time-Buffy party night involved watching a robot throw Spike through a window, so if you want to trade... no wait, I wouldn't give up that memory for anything.

Aw. I love stuff like that.

Turns out my office-neighbor's son is just finishing up his freshman year at Guilco (how'd I miss that?) Anyway, I then told him about Taylor getting accepted, and he totally volunteered his son to talk to her if she wants. Of course there was also a pleading "Does she have a car? Cause then they could come back home together rather than trekking to pick him up all the time." (She does not. But I told him if she goes, he can totally pick her up too!)

Random question,

Are the twins too young for Pippi Longstocking? Because I'm on book 21 of Magic Tree House and I'm getting a little tired of Annie and Jack.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

That's awesome, Kat!

Right, taxes, I should file those. I'm pretty sure I don't owe any and I doubt I'm getting a refund, but I should still file. Maybe next week.

I really need to stop doing that.

Or embrace it, that's an option. You need downtime on occasion.

We are having a great trip! We saw whales and dolphins and a secret beach! I've only got one more day though. Then again, I got very sunburnt today, so possibly just as well.

Also, I really love that the IRS has a website called "Where's My Refund?" and that they update it frequently. I always imagine it being called, "Where's My Refund, Beyotch!"

Hahah! Awesome. We keep passing this restaurant called "Bichos", and I keep wanting to pronounce it "beeeeeetches!"

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

Aww, Kat, that's marvelous. Our upcoming newsletter will have a story about a young woman who told us she decided to become a missionary when she heard us speak at camp five years ago. We'll see if she actually follows through, but still.

Yay, meara/brenda vacation! I still have not seen the whales. They're never where I am when I'm looking.

Congrats to CJ!

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

YAY great vacation! You both deserve it

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Congratulations to CJ--amazing cool.

And inspiring students to...hell, to anything is great--to careers is gotta help with showing up in the morning.

Just looked at this "they photoshop celebrities!" pic: [link] and it totally seems like they used the Tina Fey setting on her. Which--hey, she's very pretty. But that doesn't mean everyone needs that upgrade.

Wasted the entire day, and now am wondering if I can even watch this movie before crawling into bed. I don't really see an upside.
